Emu Posted January 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2015 Hi All, Disembark Voyager in Sydney Aust. March 16. New to RCCL, so just a basic question. Before I book flights home, could someone please advise about what time I could expect to be on the shore if I carry my own bag off??? (I travel light :)) My cabin is on deck 10.. if that makes a difference. Many thanks, Paul
Folk Singer Posted January 18, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2015 You could be off anytime before 7:00am or earlier or even later if you wish.
tillydog Posted January 18, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2015 We did self disembark the last 2 cruises (both on Voyager) and if I remember correctly, we were off by 7-7.30am.
Emu Posted January 18, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted January 18, 2015 Thanks Tilly, Nice to have a first hand report. As they Start check in and boarding again at 1030a ....I guessed it would have to be an early start to disembarking with such a large crowd. Looking forward to the ship. The_Big_M Posted January 19, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Only thing is to allow for slight chance of delays, if that concerns you. Normal situations, which is the majority of the time, you can get off as above. But on the odd occasion you may not be cleared, or have some other delay on ship preventing people leaving then. Emu Posted January 19, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Well, I will try for the 1140am plane... that should be good enough.... but will get a flexible fare just in case Murphy's Law is in action. :-)
tangogulf Posted January 19, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 19, 2015 There is always a chance there will be delays with transport to the airport either using the train (most convenient from circular quay) or via taxi/bus. Quickest will always be the train. An 11am flight departure or later should be more than doable. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Also once onboard I think you can advise your flight times and ask for early disembarkation.

The_Big_M Posted January 21, 2015 #11 Share Posted January 21, 2015 Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get from the domestic airport in Sydney to the cruise terminal please? Allow about half an hour. Could do it in about 20 minutes if lucky, but could also take longer.
