Yikkes, long wait for flight home, what to do in LA

Wow, we have an 8:45 PM flight home after our cruise. I am trying think of something to do with 12-14 of us and all of our luggage. I am thinking maybe renting a hotel room for our luggage and then taxi to the beach. Any better ideas ?

April may or may not be great beach weather...

Another idea would be to arrange a tour with Sunseekers Tours...They can pick you all up at the pier and take you on a tour of LA while holding your luggage on the bus, then drop you off at the airport...
