we are flying from Heathrow to Rome, will embark in Civitavecchia. We have arranged our own flights, anyone have any good taxi/shuttle firms that we could book to get us to the ship?

thank you

Hi chipsdog. Does your flight land on the same day the ship departs? If so, have a care. If you are spending the night/s before your cruise departs, transport to the port might be arranged through the hotel.

What airport does your flight arrive (there are two airports: Fiumicino Airport and Ciampino Airport ).

It's actually pretty easy to take the train from the airport to the ship. We always fly in a day early, take the train to Civitavecchia where we spend the night and then just walk to the ship from our hotel.

On our last cruise, however, we flew on Emirates first-class from Dubai to Rome so the airline provided a limo service from the airport to our hotel. That was pretty slick. :D
