Christmas market Cruise

Can anyone help me decide on a Christmas market river cruise? Is it better to cruise the Rhine river or the Danube? I cant seem to decide whether i want to see Nuremburg or Cologne more.

 

Any insights would be most welcome

Cologne is close to the Rhine. I think that is the one I would choose. I've cruised on Uniworld before and it was FANTASTIC! Although I have a friend who has cruised on Viking a lot and highly recommends it as well. What I would say is Uniworld is old world in style and Viking is more contemporary, so choose the line you like best. Cologne has the 3 wise men in the cathedral. I did this same cruise as Castles of the Rhine - it was an amazing experience. The S.S. Antoinette is FABULOUS, food was great and appropriate for where we were cruising - something I loved! Just don't sign up for every single extra excursion as we did - the ship is too great to not spend extra time onboard. Take a look at this fabulous cruise:
