englishmum Posted August 28, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2005 Please could someone tell me how far the docks are from Boston city centre.Do the cruise lines[cunard] provide courtesy buses or do we need to get a taxi? I assume there will be taxes at the port when cruise ships are in dock. Grace.
AuntieBon Posted August 28, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 28, 2005 Not sure about Cunard but here is the link to Boston's Massport website which handles Black Falcon Pier. Enjoy your visit!
kenandlaura06 Posted August 29, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2005 When you say Boston City Center...are you referring to any specific place in Boston, i.e., what are you planning to visit? That would help me to give you more of an idea of the distance.
c breeze Posted August 29, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 29, 2005 I am not sure about Cunard, but RCL had a shuttle for $10 RT to Quincy Market. It you are by yourself, this is worth it, otherwise take a taxi if there are a few of you.

Joanandjoe Posted August 29, 2005 #7 Share Posted August 29, 2005 People on the Princess Board are likely to know whether that line has a free or paid shuttle.
Joy2Day Posted September 7, 2005 #8 Share Posted September 7, 2005 Sailed the Grand Princess in October 2004. In Boston, Princess had a shuttle into the downtown area for $12 round-trip per person. There was also a trolley available for $10 per person (cash only) that dropped us at the Marriott Custom House. Our trolley ticket gave us a $6 discount on the regular trolley tour -- which we took advantage of.
