Just put a hold on a TA Havana Cabana! One gripe, though...

I just put a 24 hour hold on a Havana Cabana for the transatlantic cruise. It looks lovely. I'm glad to see that Carnival is updating their style from garish 70s/80s to something that looks higher-end.

As a solo cruisers, though, I wish that Carnival would update their deposit policy for long sailings. $800 is a bit much, especially when a lot of other mass-market lines don't charge a double deposit for solo cruisers. It's somewhat tolerable for higher-grade rooms, but if you're booking an interior stateroom, that's about half of the cost of the entire cruise! For my 14-day NCL Epic west-bound TA, which I also took as a solo cruiser, I only had to put down a $250 deposit.

How much use will you really get out of that Havana Cabana in October, crossing the Atlantic?:eek: Brrrrrrrr.....

I can't imagine booking that room in the fall/winter months.:o

I would agree. We are booked for a 10 day in September and was looking at the Havana cabins but decided we probably wouldn't get a lot of use out of the pool area with such a port intensive itinerary.

This past October, the days were in the high 70s and 80s, usually. The first evening was chilly, but the rest of the time was fine.
