Where will you be munching on the Carnival Vista?

I think the first thing hubby and I will do when we board is go grab a Guy's burgers as we haven't eaten them yet.

I might follow that with a lobster roll from Seafood shack in the afternoon.

Hubby and I have also decided to have some Jiji's asian Kitchen for a special night and treat ourselves to big Cherry on Top sundaes for dessert overlooking the ocean. We have already tried Bonsai and are indifferent about Carnival steakhouses.

We also plan to have a lot of Breakfast burritos from Iguana and wandering to Capita and Lido and all the other places mentioned above for eats during sea days. We would usually have done MDR breakfast/dinner or sea day brunch but theres only 3 sea days on our cruise. Naturally, we will go to the MDR a lot but some days we might not. :)

As for drinks we plan to frequent the Red Frog a lot as the drinks are great and now they will have food too! Might try the Alchemy bar but not very desperate to see what its like. I think a drunk and hungry us will end up having Pizza at midnight too as usual!

How about you guys?

Well we only have one sea day so will probably fork over the money to try Seafood Shack. DS and I will do Guy's for embarkation lunch, my mom and niece will do Mongolian wok. If we only do half days in a couple ports we may wait and have a late lunch on the ship. We will not do the sundaes as we will be eating a lot of gelato 😃.

i intend to munch everywhere :)

you pretty much listed everywhere new / of renewed interest, and that's my plan too. seafood shack for some lobster, guys burgers for burgers (duh), blue iguana, jiji, bonsai, pizza, pasta, regular lido stuff, red frog, the taste bar, and if they have it like on sunshine will try the havana bar snacks too (though i haven't heard mention of that on vista).

and suffice it to say i will probably visit every bar, as well. lol :D

We were at the Vista VIP event in NYC last night and we will definitely be bringing our appetites. The lobster roll was ok, but their clam chowder was fantastic! The Havana Bar had some great eats as well. We're most excited about the Cherry on Top ice cream bar--the Captain Fudge was amazing!

I plan on hitting every one of those you mentioned if time allows, except for the steak house and the cucina at dinner.

We will probably just dine at the MDR for dinner and maybe seaday brunch and do the casual eats for breakfast and lunch.

It all looks so awesome and Carnival has the best food of any cruise line imo. I definitely am looking forward to the lobster tail/shrimp dinner at the MDR along with the warm chocolate melting cake.

But since we will probably get off at every port on our 10 day journey, I am going to want to try some local eats as well.

We ate at the steakhouse on our cruise this May and we were not too terribly impressed. I too will be sticking with the MDR I think.

First thing will be a Guy's burger while we decide whether this cruise we will be in team Red Frog or defect to Team Blue Iguana. Then a Guy's burger to celebrate the decision.

I'm sure we'll get round to everything, interested in the seafood shack & hope to find some good dim sum in one of the Asian joints.

Travel broadens the mind, cruising broadens the waistline!

What's the cover charge for Seafood Shack? and is there somewhere a menu? i couldn't find one.

There isnt a menu but on JH's video (and another poster on here) they mention seafood chowder, Lobster rolls and deep fried clams.

Sounds good enough for me!

I forgot about the Havana snacks too....Looks like the Lido buffet is going to be seriously neglected this cruise for me (only ever sailed on the Legend so Buffet was about the only option :))

I dont think room service is going to get a look in!

Are the Havana snacks included or extra fee? I hope they have authentic cuban food, yum!

It was free on the Sunshine, so should be the same on Vista. They had light breakfast items available as well as other goodies at various times. I don't know whether it was authentic or not, but it was very tasty!

Food at Havana bar is included - but you will have to pay for the 'seafood shack' snacks - and some snacks at the Red Frog.

And for those of you that have not visited the Alchemy Bar I suggest you try it out - it always becomes a VERY POPULAR spot by the end of the cruise :)

Jiji's on the Sunshine was excellent as was the steakhouse! :)

I'll be eating at the free (included) spots only!!! I would hate to pay extra for anything on a cruise!

I loved Bonsai on the Breeze so I'll be visiting there again. I'm really looking forward to trying out the new Seafood shack since I'm a huge fan of lobster rolls. I will also be sure to visit other favorite spots that I've tried several times before like Guy's Burger and Mongolian Wok.
