Is there a second cruise ship dock in NOLA?

When we were getting ready to leave the Dawn this morning, we could see a cruise ship docked downriver, around the bend.

 

When we returned a little while ago, it was gone. (We are doing a b2b.)

The port where you got off the Dawn is the same port used by Carnival. The second by NCL. From time to time you will have a cruise ship stopping in New Orleans (IADA, MSC, etc) down river. But is not a full "Cruise Port".

Sounds like it was the Serenade of the Seas. The Serenade suffered a broken water pipe / flood / electrical problem and was late leaving port. They could not leave port until getting Coast Guard approval.

 

Somewhere around 400 rooms were deemed unusable and the passengers for those rooms were turned away. Rumors are they'll get a full refund and a coupon for a free cruise.
