Taking a last minute cruise on the Paradise. Any thoughts about the ship?

Just found out about the Cheers Program for drinkers. Thought it was great until in the small print found out that both people in the cabin have to sign up even if only one wants it. My wife doesn't drink that much but I do. Any thoughts?

the only thought you have is to purchase your drinks one at a time.

the rules of cheers are that everyone over the age of 21 must purchase it

if you both drink more that 7 or 8 drinks each night (that is about what it takes to break even) then it doesn't pay and you shouldn't do it.

Think of it as a total cruise package. We just got back from a 7 day, about $804 for the package for two of us, on one or two days between the two of us we only had 14 - 16 drinks showing on the final billing but other days we had the max. In the end we saved out $150 to $200.

I am thinking about Paradise 5-day and will likely do the cheers program. Both my wife and I drink and we did the Cheers program on our last cruise.

We enjoy drinks by the pool all day (say 5-8), a couple with dinner and at least couple after dinner. They add up quickly so the Cheers program works for us. We hit the max a couple times last cruise.

IMO, its great bc you don't have to worry about your account getting out of control or watching how many you drink and getting in quibbles over it.
