I am not sure what kind of update you are looking for, however I sailed the Glory this past June. When I ate at the steakhouse I did wear a jacket but observed others who did not and it did not appear to be a problem. I had a great time on my sailing and I hope you do also.

We were on the Glory in October. No jacket is required. However, whatever the dining attire is for the evening in the main dining room, will also apply to the steakhouse.

We do the first night because it's completely relaxed. We have showed up in shorts before.

No jackets required but trousers of any sort for men only seemed to be required.

I was denied service on our anniversary night even though I was wearing a $100 Polo shirt, $75 dress shorts, $200 shoes and $25 socks. They did seat an extremely overweight woman wearing super tight yoga pants showing off ALL her "Glory", a young man wearing a street hoody (up) and another gentleman wearing jeans and a football shirt.

When I asked to speak to the Front of the House Manager, the snooty hostess (I later found out lied to me) said she was the manager and she could make no exception to the "men must wear trousers" policy even though I pointed out the disgustingly dressed people seated and being served. She told me policy can't be broken. I told her I would have no problem with that if it was enforced in all dinning rooms and mentioned on elegant night they seated a guy wearing cargo pants and a tank top.

She refused to budge and sent me to guest services. They said they were going to call the manager and i explained it was the manager that sent me to them. They informed me the Hostess lied and she wasn't the manager. Long story short, finally talked to the real manager but they also refused to budge.

RIDICULOUS

So, you think they really care how much your clothes cost? Why didn't you just go put some long pants on and enjoy your evening instead of scrutinizing all the other diners? Comments about other people's weight and their clothes makes me think you may be a little snooty yourself.

Thanks Pat. :p

(It's also a sexist policy when they allow women to wear mini skirts showing off much more)
