I redeemed the free cruise. I missed it when they initially offered the reward and unlike the other rewards it didn't renew daily at 7 AM PST. A couple months later I happened to be on the Facebook app and I got booted from the app with the standard image of the construction worker saying that they were adding new features. When I logged back on after a minute or two there was a single free cruise reward available and I snapped it up. The reward states that it is for a 4 night cruise but after I redeemed it I got an email from them asking for my address and they mailed me a certificate for a free 4 or 5 night cruise. So I booked it for a 5-night cruise on Liberty of the Seas this coming Saturday. I did pay taxes and port fees of around $80 a person but that was it. I am really excited for the cruise!

That's pretty amazing! Did you have to book the cruise for travel within 60 days? Or did they mean redemption within 60 days?

I think the 60 days is just for redemption, though I'm not sure who would wait that long to redeem a free cruise! I purchased the reward on September 30th, and they emailed me the same day and I got the certificate via FedEx maybe a week later. I had to return the certificate by certified mail and include information for both people staying in my cabin and my top 3 choices for cruises. I got my first choice and I was booked in a forward facing room on deck 6 of Liberty of the Seas. I was really psyched that it was 5 nights instead of 4 because I had already chosen Liberty of the Seas as my number one choice and it meant that we got to go to Cozumel and Belize instead of just Cozumel. It is weird that I had to do the extra step of receiving a physical certificate and mailing it by certified mail, but if the system was more efficient I probably would have ended up with a 4-night cruise instead, so I'm not complaining!

I think the original free cruise was for the Quantum 3 nighter when it launched?

There's a facebook group called MyVegas Friends Rocks, if you look there some people did go on that cruise.

Also joining the group and requesting friends is a really good way of getting more red chips to spend. They also post free chip offers from casinos etc.

FYI, there are also now offers for non M Life casinos/ hotels available - Station casinos which includes Red Rock and GVR.

I've been playing nearly two years, currently have 550k gold chips having been to Vegas twice since I started playing and have redeemed for lots of hotel nights, food etc

I have enough for a 50% off so we were looking at getting a family suite and take another couple. The small print says it's good for two, so it should be for the first and second in the cabin and then the rate for the third and fourth would be for us to pay.

Has anyone tried this?

  • 4 months later...

I have 1.5 million loyalty points and have waited months for them to reload the free cruise offer. Have also inquired with myvegas but they just say they don't know to keep checking. Does anyone know the difference between the 50% off and the BOGO companion fare? My guess is the port charges have to be paid on both on the 50% off and maybe just one on the BOGO?? If anyone knows about this I'd love to know!! Glad I read the thread I was going to cash in for the 50% off and try to get a 300.00 cabin credit with my husbands loyalty points, from what I read here that won't work! Thanks for the info!!
