  1. The one time I wanted to get the price drop, they said I would have to cancel and rebook. We would lose the deposit and OBC that came with our original offer, so wasn’t worth it.
  2. They seem to be replacing vintages with Giovannis wine bar on the newer ships eg wonder and icon
  3. Soot has been reported to be an issue at the aqua theater. We didn’t have the problem there but did when we were watching the Flo rider
  4. If you have never had service that deserved a tip, you must be very hard to please! Anyway my point is relevant for the OP - if they don’t pre pay and don’t remove gratuities completely they will have to pay the higher amount of $18 pppd
  5. Fun fact, the JW Marriott used to be the NAAFI when the British military still had a presence there. They would go to Raffles over the road for a splurge for dinner/ drinks. My dad was based there during the 60’s and we took him back a few years ago - his memory had a few gaps due to the alcohol 😂
  6. We have also only had good experience of MTD, although on oasis class. Not sure if oasis class is better than Anthem. But we reserved a time for each dinner and never had to wait more than a few minutes.
  7. It them you would have to pay the higher amount, the $16 pppd is ONLY if paid in advance.
  8. There is a small sunbathing area one level up from the solarium- come out of the solarium towards the pool, go to the left hand stairs there. Not many loungers and no kids as not overlooking the pool.
  9. That’s so badly written! It doesn’t even make sense 😂
  10. There was always going to be an adults only outdoor pool, the switch was that it was going to be a different one and then they switched them round.
  11. It’s either 72 or 48 hours (can’t remember which) after that it’s OBC
  12. Firstly, Icon is not an oasis class ship, it’s a whole new class. secondly, the adult only pool is only on icon. Oasis class only has the adult solariums with an indoor pool.
  13. Also Strasbourg is in Alsace. Lorraine is a completely different departement.
  14. I wouldn’t tell that to the Alsaciens 😂 My OH is from Strasbourg, if we’re having an argument and I’m losing, I just throw in “well you’re German!” and that ends any conversation….. 😉
  15. Also I think open skating didn’t open up until we were onboard
  16. You can watch it from the rock climbing wall area
  17. So we sailed early December on Wonder. Some pros and cons compared to oasis which we sailed on the year before. wonder is newer, we loved the Vue bar as you can actually sit outside with a view and drink. Liked wonderland, really like hooked and Izumi hibachi, (none of which we did on oasis), and liked 150CP (which we did do on oasis). we did MTD with reservations and never waited more than 5/10 minutes to get seated, longest wait was on lobster night. Enjoyed the aqua show - not as good as aqua80 but still good. Saw it a few times - even if you don’t have reservations you can usually get a seat or watch from the back. ice show was better than oasis. Voices and effectors were just ok. I wish they had a proper broadway show.
  18. Make up your own rather than the pre made stuff, that was bland. You will meed to add hot sauce etc but we enjoyed it.
  19. They wouldn’t, it’s in your cruise contract. The only thing I would expect is a refund of port fees.
  20. That doesn’t leave much for Singapore though if Ovation goes to China 🤔
  21. https://www.cruisehive.com/royal-caribbean-to-increase-capacity-at-its-private-island/93983 here’s the quote saying capacity with hideaway bay is 13,000
  22. They meant they must stop at a port outside the US
  23. I think it’s because they’ve invested a ton of money there. They’re building a private beach club or something, as well as the new port. Same reason they all have to go to coco cay.
  24. Again I don’t read it as just applying to the U.K. there are a lot of countries out there that aren’t the US and don’t operate the same way you know!
