Nope, it opens earlier in the app as well. I booked months out in the app, and changed times.

Agreed. As people’s income and circumstances can vary so much, what is a lot to one person is pocket change to another. Therefore I don’t think anyone should be telling someone else “it’s only $100 you can afford it” when they don’t know that persons situation. People seem to assume if you’re going in a cruise you are wealthy, but some people will have saved for years to go on one cruise and it may be the only time they get to do it. Therefore IMO the best advice is - it’s discretionary, auto tips will be added to your account, if you are comfortable paying more and think the service received warrants it, then pay what you are comfortable paying.

No I mean Las Vegas USA. however I didn’t realise Canada doesn’t have a tax treaty! I am correct though that if you live in a country that does (as I do) you can complete a W8-BEN to avoid the withholding. Most vegas casinos do the paperwork with/ for you these days.

That’s not correct. In vegas they give you a form to fill in saying you’re foreign and then you don’t pay the taxes.

Yes they really should adjust to the custom/ culture of the market the ship is departing from, as people form that market will likely make up the majority of passengers . So in Europe they should include the tips in the price and problem solved! They do it for drinks packages etc, so not sure why they don’t do it for the actual cruise.

We have Chops +1 package - was the tip included in this when we purchased? I didn't think to check at the time (was too excited about booking!)

That's expensive - on our cruise next month it's 'only' £79 per person (I still think that's expensive, and am not paying it, but it's half yours!). Wait until Black Friday - they should have some good deals then. Not sure why it's so much more on your cruise.....

You can reserve speciality restaurants if not buying a package and paying, you just can’t reserve them if you have any dining packages (apart from Chops +1 where they book Chops for you).

Just FYI for future reference that doesn’t mean you’ll be eating until 9. It means you can eat anytime between 6.45 and 9. A 6.45 booking would be finished by around 8. if that’s still too late for you, fine - but just wanted to clarify.

That’s one of the few things MSC gets right, they choose your table mates based on language spoken.

Can you please post a link to this announcement? Someone on my roll call called RC and was told we’ll be able to book 48 hours before boarding! So I want to refer them to this.

For info, we called on Tuesday to cancel the drinks package we bought in the Black Friday sale (already a decent deal at £54 pp per day) and change to this. All went through ok and they said we would get the refund in 30 days. Refund appeared on the card today 🙂 With the exchange rate as it is, we need all the help we can get as we sail out of Miami!

You can book it from 7pm on the app though.....

Unlikely, they need you off the ship to get it ready for the next cruise.

We're also staying here before our Oasis cruise in November.

Assuming Anthem still has We Will Rock You, then entertainment is better on Royal. The show was as good as the West End version in our view (we had Curly Watts from Coronation Street play the Nigel Planer character). Food was a bit better on X, however I haven't sailed Royal since Anthem launched, so unsure on current offering. Both Anthem and X were beautiful ships.

I think (?) it was added to Oasis during the amplification? But haven't sailed on Oasis before so not sure.
