VRBO rentals in London- anyone have problems

Hi,

For 2 weeks now I have sent request for quotes and availability on several apartments. I have only received 1 response and it was on an apartment that required a longer stay. I called the number this morning, some guy I could barely understand said the booking team would reply to my requests.

 

Has anyone else had this problem with them? Are there any other rental companies that I could book thru. I tried London perfect but they want a 5 night stay and we can only stay 3 nights.

 

Any suggestions?

Most apartments in London require an even longer than 5 night stays. Also remember you may have VAT 20% and high cleaning fees added to any apartment stays.

You may find one on AIRBandB where you deal directly with the owners.

Anyone who fails to respond promptly to email enquiries is pretty suspect in my book. Barge poles come to mind.

Just put in 'vacation rentals' then were you want to stay. I have always had alot of web sites pop up for me to look at. What I find is one price is quoted but when contacted, that unit is 'not available' but they 'have another one that is slightly higher'.

Thanks for the suggestions. We have found an apartment in the Mayfair area, that is perfect for us.
