cliffd64 Posted August 31, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 31, 2005 What are the shops aboard like? What kinds of shops are there, is there a chemist? There are no official pharmacists (aka chemists) aboard, in other words, you won't be able to fill any prescriptions, however there is usually a store that sells various sundry items you might have forgotten to bring like toothpaste, or a toothbrush, or various over-the-counter cold remedies and aspirin etc. You can alos find tons of ships souvenirs as well there. There is a jewelry store, clothing store, and of course the duty free liquor and tobacco stores.
Goldryder Posted August 31, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2005 On Jewel there is one very large shop, with each area split up within. Jewelry has a large section, next to that is clothing, alongside in another section is perfumery, at the back right hand corner is duty free wines/spirits and the front right side section is souvenirs. The entire shopping area is at the stern and is about the same size at the Tsar's restaurant which is directly underneath. It actually works well. Alongside Java there is another smaller shop with various items from sweets to clocks and china.

bangzoom6877 Posted August 31, 2005 #5 Share Posted August 31, 2005 While there is no pharmacist (chemist), if someone gets sick and needs a common prescription medication, there is a medical center with a doctor. They carry common types of medicines like antibiotics in case someone gets an infection or something. I also have seen tylenol and advil in the shops. They also carry motion sickness medication, but I think you can also get that at the desk in the lobby. Bonnie
