Holding wine in the "naughty" room.

We are doing a B2B on Navigator in April. We want to bring on a couple of bottles of wine for the two of us. My question is....since we wont be able to go anywhere to purchase a couple more, do you think they would hold the extra 2 in the "naughty" room.. to be picked up when we reboard? :D

You can take the the four bottles to port on your first boarding day. The screening staff may just let you take all four aboard yourself that first day or they might hold two of them for you until the end of the first cruise. The rules say they will hold them; if your cruise is close to spring break they may be more likely to abide by the rule out of an abundance of caution.

If you really wanted to, you could buy up more wine (sold after noon on Sundays) in Galveston on turnaround day. CVS, located less than mile from port, sells wine. NOS did host a nice turnaround day lunch at 11:30 for consecutive cruisers on our recent b2b cruise. One could go out after for wine, but we did not bother.

Thank you so much for you reply. Starry . This will be our very first back to back as well as we are turning diamond on the 2nd half. We are so excited.

Your first B2B probably won't be your last. It is an interesting feeling when most people are packing up to leave while you are looking forward to another week.

Have a great time.

It is, until the dreaded end of that second week. Ugg.

Some people have also reported bringing bottles back on the ship on their last port day. If it is very near the end of the cruise, they may not even store it and just let you take it to your room. This may even apply to liquor. Worst case, buy it in a port and they take it and then they give it back the last night of the first cruise. You then keep it in your cabin for the second cruise.

umm, yeah, the end of the second week is as painful as the end of any other cruise. pretty sure I can't avoid getting off at some point!

All the paperwork given to us during our recent B2B cruise on NOS claimed they would not return such items until the end of the last cruise (unless you specifically told the consecutive cruise coordinator that you were taking it off the ship on turnaround day...not sure how they know if one did or did not do so, other than checking with customs and TX tax folks). As we brought our wine allowance (two cabin for two weeks = eight bottles), we did not buy any more alcohol to test their claim.
