Earliest Flight out of EWR after cruise

We are on the Summit, coming into Bayonne on May 3rd (sunday). Considering an 11am flight from EWR to Chicago. Anyone have experience with it and if its too early?

Is that the repo?

 

If so, no that's too early...well, you might make it ...BUT seems that immigration takes WAY longer after a repo and one delay, and poof...bye bye plane..

 

If it's NOT the repo, then you'd probably be OK if you did express walk off (though I would not do it...why fret the whole last day about making your flight..)

Any non-closed loop cruise (Start/End point different) usually takes longer for crew and passengers alike to clear. Worse without a port of call in US.

IMHO from what I've been told by family-friends and a CBP friend.
