Konoko (Coyaba) or Enchanted Gardens -kids

We are trying to find a reasonably priced, safe excursion for our family of 4. The kids are 5 and 9. We did Dunn River years ago and are not interested in returning due to crowds.

The Konoko Gardens or Enchanted Gardens look interesting, but I am having a difficult time finding excursions to either.

Is it safe to get a red-license taxi when we get to port?

Any advice on which garden is better?

Other ideas? Frankly, I'd consider staying on the boat. But, it is our first stop, I think everyone will want to explore after 2 sea days!

We were there in December. Absolutely beautiful! We did not have kids with us, but I know they would enjoy the gardens, and there are several pools at the bottom of the falls that are not deep (3-4 ft). We did out tour through Courtney Taylor. Our favorite day of the cruise!

Did Courtney take you anywhere else? It appears one prebooks the day with him, right?

I was quoted $40 each way for a cab, so we might as well go with a private tour!

The gardens and falls are on the same grounds. The tour of both was $20 per person, well worth the money. We also went to Prospect Plantation. A wonderful day!
