You can call or go online to verify your balance. I have a couple and I just purchased FTTF with one and had no issues.

I purchased $1300 and paid off our April cruise. I had been hoping to buy more to cover costs/excursions on the cruise so I hope they come back. I had noticed people on these boards were asking what happens if they put them on their S&S card but don't use the whole balance. Someone said they could cash out at the casino. I was thinking this may be a problem if people were buying large amounts of them and cashing them out in the casino to get 10% FREE MONEY. Just a thought...

Not sure what the security issue is. I do know that other reward sites use the same e-card rewards though & they are still processing them.

I was just on the Verizon site checking to see if they had them again. I had already purchased $1800 to pay off our March cruise and saved $180. They did not have them, but did have RCCL. Out of curiosity, I went under cruises and you can use points there also. I did a fake booking and it was using about 6000 points. I couldn't figure out if I was saving any money or not.

The Royal Carib gift cards have been showing as sold out almost as long as the Carnival cards have been gone all together. Neither one of them is available for purchase.

 

I think you do save by booking a cruise directly with them, but I'm not sure if you could get price drops or any of the specific terms. I just wish they would bring the gift cards back!!!

Verizon saying their is a glitch in the program for processing the eCertifictes. What was odd is this pst week on the Sunshine I took 2 eCertificates to Guest Services to apply to our account and they said they were having problems with getting them to credit and to try the next day. Next day it worked fine.

Thank you for your email regarding Carnival Gift Cards. There should be no concerns for cards that were already purchased through us.

The gift cards are back on the Verizon site. They're only in $100 increments and are actual gift cards that have to be mailed. There's also a small shipping charge.

I used the e certificates through Verizon rewards a few months ago to pay off our cruise. Just went back to get more and see they only offer the gift cards. Does anyone have first hand knowledge as to whether they can be applied to our sail and sign account and used towards anything....even gratuities?

Yes you can use the gift cards to load against your s&s for anything including gratuities.

 

There's a small shipping charge, but then the description still says ecards.

I ordered 20 cards and they did charge me $0.59 a card.....still a deal! With 3 cruises booked I hope they keep them as an option on the Verizon rewards!

Charging $.59 a card?! Jeez. Sounds like perhaps they didn't like that members found an instant way to save 10% on their cruise. It will be interesting to see how long it takes them to ship these cards.

I've got no problem with the . 59 charge to mail them if it quails whatever issues stopped them from being offered for almost a month.

The $100 gift cards are available. I will wait a little longer to see if they offer the $500 gift cards.
