Thanks....I'm sailing in May on the Conquest with a stop in LaRomana, Dominican Republic and curious about the port area there. I have read that there is nothing to do or see at the port area and a shore excursion is a must in LaRomana.

Thank you in advance if you are going to do a review of your cruise, I look forward to reading it.

How were the shows? Were there lots of lounge chairs available on the open decks? How was the food and service? Did you try the drinks at the Alchemy Bar?

the show that is a must see is Epic Rock! Best show at sea! comedians were ok but the rest of the show people will prolly be different. Drinks were great. Go to the private resort all inclusive in la romana

We're doing this itinerary in April - to echo a previous poster, what did you do in each port?

Was there a free foosball table anywhere on board?

How early did they begin boarding?

So excited to see someone back from the same cruise we'll be on soon :)

We are doing this same itenerary in October. By any chance do you have your fun times that you could scan? I would love to see them for the whole cruise if possible.

This will be our second cruise on the Conquest. We really liked her last time. We were going to do the Liberty out of Port Canaveral but she was moved to San Juan. So, it was back to the Conquest for us.

Thanks for the fun times if you have them!

Ditto on the Fun Times scans! We're sailing that itinerary in September. Thanks, Ken

I did just about everything on this 8 day eastern, it was perfect. Debarkation was slow cuz they only had 2-3 homeland security dudes. Ask away

We will be on the Conquest in 3 weeks - we have heard there are NO chips to go along with the salsa bar ... tell me it isn't true.

Seems crazy that you would have a salsa bar but no chips ... but this is CCL so who knows - can anyone share some info please?

I was on the same cruise, it was totally awesome. Mike Pack the cruise director is one of the best. He holds trivia in the lobby many of the nights. It is not your usual boring trivia--it is more of a sing-along, party atmosphere.

If you participate and play along with him and volunteer, he is quick to buy people a can of Fosters.

Embarkation was really slow due to a broken gangway in FLL. We had to embark on deck 1 instead of 3. They let people on right around 12:15 pm.

When I arrived at the port around 12:20 pm, it was a huge mess. However, with faster to the fun, we were escorted to the front of the line. A definite plus for having FTTF.

No new dinner menus as of last week.

#SixAppeal is currently a band playing on the ship; the electric guitar player is really talented in our opinion and should be making his living elsewhere:)

My husband and I visited the arcade/game room a few times and were disappointed. There were many of the crane operated machines for $1.10 a try; hard to win and game is over in seconds. There was a basketball game; skeeball; very few real arcade games in our opinion. It was relatively disappointing.

I didn't see any chips at the Blue Iguana to go along with the various salsas available.

The popcorn at the Dive-In Movies that are shown nightly is great. We didn't care for the movie selection but went up there for the popcorn.

We were on the same cruise......we are platinum, so had tag #1. Fastest we have ever been off a ship without self assist. We were driving away from the parking garage before 8:30.

The cruise was great.

I did not see any foosball table on board.

There is shuffleboard LOL, volleyball, basketball, mini-golf and soccer.

We disembarked around 9:30 am and were in a van driving to FLL airport around 10:20 am. It was terrible. We could have gotten off earlier due to Faster to the Fun, but we chose to eat in the dining room for breakfast. The breakfast was packed on the last day in the dining room.

Honestly in Grand Turk there is no real reason to book an excursion. There isn't a whole lot to see around the port.

There is a really nice beach right at the pier, a Margaritaville with a pool and Flowrider and some nice shops. The lounge chairs at the beach and Margaritaville are free.

There wasn't a real need to buy anything at Margaritaville, unless you choose to.

We were on this cruise also, had a great time even though we don't participate in many things. The embarkation took a long while due to the broken ramp, was probably 12:30 before we boarded but room was ready. Debarkation was a piece of cake,, we also had tag #1 and were off the ship by 8:00 and home by 9:30. I saw all of the shows and Epic Rock was the best, Divas the worst. I enjoyed the movies, they aren't all that new but I still enjoyed them and they make popcorn too. The ship is in good shape, didn't bother me that there is no serenity area, they do have Guys and Blue Iguana, both have great food.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Mike Pack is still cruise director in April - he was our Asst CD on Legend, and his Name that Tune trivia was awesome! We loved him :)

Anyone that can take pictures of or scan the funtimes, that would be awesome!

Was it fairly easy to find loungers that faced the ocean? I'm not interested in being beside the pool, but love to read and look up every now and then at the water :).

Yeah, I have a question! We did the cruise just before yours. The 6 day. Why didn't we book the 8 day as well as a B2B? :D

I was on the Freedom in late January, which the Conquest replaced in Fort Lauderdale. There indeed was no tortilla chips at the salsa bar but they were offering watermelon wedges. I thought it was weird but I guess they want you to put the salsa on a taco or burrito from the Blue Iguana.
