KatieCharlotte Posted February 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2015 Torn between two excursions for our family, with kids ages six through teen. We rarely take Carnival excursions but probably will at this port. 1) Dzibilchaltun ruins w/ cenote swimming + Ranch /w buffet and horse show -- We've been to ruins before and I know these don't have a large pyramid, but the kids like climbing ruins, my middle child would love to swim in a cenote, and the little one is horse-obsessed. But it's pricy, and I'd like to see Merida. 2) White and Golden Cities with horse-drawn carriage and lunch -- DH and I would like to see these unique places, Merida and Izamal, but are worried about the long bus rides for the kids, plus the girls are begging for a cenote and the horse show. KatieCharlotte Posted February 26, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted February 26, 2015 I vote for the first one, have a great time. Thanks for your input. We did decide to go ahead with that excursion for me and the kids (while DH goes to Uxmal) and save the White and Golden cities for a trip without the kids.
