MarLieb Posted February 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2015 We will be in Molde for one day in June and would like to go to the Varden viewpoint without hiking or having to book a shore excursion. Are there any buses that take you to the viewpoint? Or are there taxis available at the cruise port? Thank you for your help!
kandtq Posted February 24, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2015 I'm hoping someone has the answer to your question. We would also like to take some kind of transportation to the top and hike down!
Iluvcruising2 Posted February 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2015 (edited) When in Molde, we were very adventurous and we walked up Varden and back down again. However, that was quite a hike. If I were to do it again, I would take a taxi to the peak and then walk down. There were taxis and I think they would take you up to the peak. You probably have to ask the taxi to wait for you for the downward trip, or just take a slow hike down hill, which is quite easy. Anyway, here are my blog posts. http://guitar123foodandtravel.blogspot.sg/2014/07/adventure-of-seas-day-10-molde-part-1.html Video - you can see 222 peaks on a clear day. I lost count. MarLieb Posted February 24, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted February 24, 2015 Thank you SO much, Iluvcruising2!! Your blog is AWESOME!! So informative! I'm so excited! We'll look for a taxi to take us to Varden and then drop us at the Museum! So happy we can do this in our own and don't have to book an excursion. Thank you!
