FraudBroad Posted February 25, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2015 Any advice on how to get the best deal on a hotel near FLL or Port Everglades on Hotwire of Priceline? Has anyone done this with success? Many thanks, Natalie
JohninDC Posted February 25, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2015 Go to www dot better bidding dot com and do lots of homework on areas, star ratings, bidding strategies, etc. There is a sticky at the top of this board with info on recent winning bids. When do you cruise? Bargains are tough to find during the peak tourist season.

Marie51 Posted February 25, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 25, 2015 Have you checked LMT? They usually have good prices. I booked the Renaissance in Ft Lauderdale for only $92 and unlike Priceline and Hotwire you can cancel if your plans change.
BlueHerons Posted February 25, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 25, 2015 Spend a couple of hours doing research and it will pay off.
eandj Posted February 25, 2015 #6 Share Posted February 25, 2015 (edited) Warning that if you don't look at the EXACT dates that you need a hotel, comparing what to bid to win" a room is useless. The great rate someone gets in June isn't going to fly in winter. The rate one gets midweek won't work on weekends. Just don't be fooled. ;) It would help if you told us the date you need. AND How many people? If you look at lastminutetravel.com and join the LMTclub offered for free right now I think, you will not be blind bidding. And they offer great rates when the rooms are available. AND they have a liberal cancellation policy that the two mentioned do not. The airport is 15 minutes from the port area. So you are asking about two different locations. Add to that the beach area. Edited February 25, 2015 by eandj

eandj Posted February 25, 2015 #9 Share Posted February 25, 2015 Lastminutetravel.com is a discount site with great rates. If you call the phone number, their rep will help with identifying the hotel and offer a few more dollars off. That company also has a club to join. Although the fee is often waived with a promo code. That has its own website..LMTclub.com. When you join it is not blind, the hotels are named and rates are even a little bit lower. It has become our go to spot because we like choosing our hotel and be able to cancel. Try it..you'll like it.:)
