Booking excursion at pier!

We would like to get off the ship at Havesight and book an excursion to go snorkeling or sail to St. Croix for the day. My question, is this feasible? We usually do not book excursions through the ship but just jump on with a tour operator when we get off the ship. Has anyone done an excursion like this in St. Thomas booking it ashore?

No tours to St Croix. You can only get there on a reserved flight for approx $200 pp rt. Flights often delayed or canceled. Not recommended for cruisers.

 

The only tours you can take from the dock are island tours. Most include beach stops and if you want to snorkel make sure your tour will take you to Coki or Sapphire. Best snorkeling beaches.
