Good Mornin' I will try to get this done today.

First day was a great surprise, got off the elevator & there sat our Sensation friends THE CAFFERTY'S. We hadn't talked since Christmas & there we were. A lot of hugs & catching up.

The CC meet & greet was on Monday, nice turn-out good to say Hi to everyone you have been chatting with.

The ship looked good, love the Spirit class.

Food was also good, DR the first night & enjoyed. Buffet from then on which I always found something. We eat a big Brunch around 11:30 12:00 & then just pick for supper time. First time with the Blueiguana & I am a fan. Loved it. Didn't try Guys but we can get a bugger anytime. Need to say right here THE HOT DOGS ARE IN THE DELI why didn't I know that until the last day, so good. I take my own Ritz Crackers & make a nice tuna plate with tomatoes & potato salad in the evening.

Didn't do any shows this time, also don't care to much for CD Skip. Must admit he didn't make a lot of announcements which was nice. Why don't I care for him I don't know we just didn't click.

Now for the bummer Larry's legs went out on him Sunday night & the only time he could get out of bed was to go to the Dr. His pain was beyond anything he could handle. Of course they can only give you over the counter pain med's but Dr. Trevino did the best he could.

This Dr. is such a caring man, he would call to check on us a couple times a day but always the first question was how are you doing. I was impressed with the whole med center staff.

We were booked on a B2B so had to cancel the second leg, thank goodness we had insurance. The staff at GS were over the top willing to help & our poor cabin steward Noel just kept saying what can I do & of course there was nothing any one could do.

I went to the past guest party & also the Captains meet & greet for the Diamond cruisers. Any of you that know us knows that MR. LARRY don't miss a free drink, when he said please just go alone I just can't go I knew he wasn't faking. :D

We were escorted off the ship with him in a wheelchair me on my scooter & a crew member driving his scooter. Dr. Trevino was right there to say good by & good luck.

I have NO more cruises booked & doesn't look like there will be any in the near future. I will answer you questions as best I can.

Char & Mr. Larry

Very sorry to hear about your husbands leg issues during the cruise. Thanks for taking the time to give this review. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

P.S. I don't care for Skip either and so glad he is leaving before our March 15 Pride sailing.

It was nice meeting you at the meetup. I’m sorry to hear about your husband’s health issues. I hope he gets back to cruising condition soon!

I agree the deli seemed an odd place for the hot dogs. I meant to try one, but the only 2 times I ate at the deli, I was in the mood for a cold sandwich. And when the Blue Iguana was open, I always got tacos. I miss them so much. On my post-cruise survey, I said that the Blue Iguana should be open 24 hours instead of pizza.

I was excited to read the title of your thread because we recently booked a B2B on the Pride. Only spirit class ship we haven't been on yet! We usually sail from our homeport of NY but are going to drive down to Baltimore. I chuckled when I read about the Ritz crackers and tuna salad. We were recently on the Liberty and I had a craving for a BLT but didn't want to order room service. I saved some toast from breakfast buffet, then went to the Guy's Burger's fixings bar and made my own! ;);) Continuing reading your review I was sorry to hear about your DH'es medical problem during the cruise and sorry you had to cancel the 2nd week. Sincerely hope he is on the road to recovery and you can book another cruise soon.

thanks for the heads up about the hot dogs.

Can I ask - with your scooter, did you have an accessible cabin? My mother is a full time wheelchair user and has 4207 booked. I've seen photos of the bathrooms and they seem well laid out but I do have some (very) minor concerns about turnaround space in the cabin.

As well, did you experience any accessibility issues on the ship?

thank you.

The hot dogs are very good better than before, chili & onion. :D

I couldn't find your cabin ( search isn't working ) but will tell you that if it is IS cabin no there will not be room for the wheelchair. OV tight but do able. If it is a accessible cabin there should be know problem.

Bath is really small & no room again for chair. We don't use our scooters all the time so just get a cabin right by the elevator & I keep them parked there. On the Legend the halls were a bear with the scooters.

As far as the ship didn't run into any problems.

Go to cruisedeckplan.com. Click on Carnival, then Pride, then go to your deck. Your Mom has a nice big cabin, but it's NOT listed as HC.

I had to refresh my puter lol.

If they push the table all the way to the corner of the couch it should work. won't be able to get around the bed though. Bath will be a problem because of the step up. But it is a good location.

Here's a link to another post regarding 4207; http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1211811&highlight=legend+4207

From what I can remember during a cabin crawl, there was no lip to the bathroom doorway on this cabin, and is far more 'accessible' than others we have seen. The cabin looked to be well laid out, and had a picture window instead of the French Doors.

I got a e=mail from Dr.Trevino this evening checking up on Larry & asking how I was.

Such a sweet guy & so thoughtful.

Char

That was so thoughtful! Hope you bring it to the attention of the CCL higher uppers. Cripes, my doctors here at home don't even call to check up on me after I have a procedure! :( Hope you are both recovering!

Wow We are regular CC platinum cruisers, but decided to book RCL Grandeur out of Baltimore when Pride left. That being said, I fell and broke my left ankle and foot the first day on cruise other than free med care and use of wheelchair I never heard from Dr again on a 10 day cruise. Only heard from guest services the day after. Thought that was odd. It took so long in infirmary and to get wheelchair we never got to eat that night.

Glad to know CC are more concerned

Wow maybe it was be cause we had to pay for the Dr. visit :D.

Yes I would find that odd also.

They made me crazy this cruise because the phone of course isn't close by so had to get up to answer it  And if I was gone Lar would try to get up & not make it in time. That was GS. It seemed like I ran into the Dr. on the ship often & he would stop me & ask about ME & then him. :)

Very good caring people & yes I sent a letter to Miami & ask that they forward it to all concerned.

If 4207 isn't HC or modified HC cabin, which have built in shower bench, you can ask cabin steward for shower chair
