Any thoughts on the fall foliage conditions then? I guess we should expect changeable weather conditions. Anyone have favorite tours, restaurants, or other advice on this itinerary? Jan_In_Maine Posted September 8, 2005 #3 Share Posted September 8, 2005 If you will be along the coast of Maine you should be at peak or just a little bit later than peak - which means that it should still be one of the best time for color. The New England color was largely gone by that time. Martha's Vineyard was all but closed up. The ininerary included stops in New York and New London which were both superb and the highlight of the cruise. Those ports have been trimmed off the run this year for some unknown reason. You will enjoy the great lobster in Bar Harbor. Buy tour Acadia Park tour tickets over the internet. The tour leaves a few blocks from the pier, and is worthwhile. Bean Town is a great port, lots to see; do a walking tour on your own if you are up to it. Ann of Green Gables is much ado about nothing. Quebec and Montreal are great ports.
