AMA Danube Time between towns

Need idea of how much time you have post ship walking tours before boat leaves for next port? (if offered)

ie Vilshofen before it sails to Passau.

Do you have much time for an actual tour of a building or just time to stroll back to the dock with a little window "gazing" enroute;)

We did AMA's Romantic Danube last Nov. and yes, we usually had time to explore on our own. AMA will send you detailed info including departure times with your docs. These are sent a month to 6 weeks before. You will love this cruise and AMA is amazing.

:p:D:p Yes, very excited for this cruise. I've been very fortunatel to have had amazing vacations, but think this one will be so different it will be in a class on it's own!

I did the opposite direction last October, so we went from Passau-Vilshofen.

They do a little beer tent for the ships and an oppha band, kind of fun.

The town is tiny, a small church, not really any tourist shops. Went into a restaurant to find a "bar" for a german beer, no bars per say, but sat at a table and had a beer. It was quite charming, and pretty, there is a monastery up on the hill. But you will not need much time to see this town.

We were on the Sonata wine themed cruise (embarked Nov. 12). How about you? There were quite a few from California including us.
