Bronx12 Posted March 9, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2015 This is my first post on the NCL site, I am usually on RCCL. I am wondering if NCL does last minute discounting like some cruise lines? I am looking at Epic, Oct 18/15, from Southampton, 7 night. I was talking to NCL customer service & they indicated that the prices will only increase, and the ship will sell out. I am not familiar with NCL pricing policies, so any information would be appreciated.
BusyFLmom Posted March 9, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2015 I booked our Epic cruise in June 2014. Price went up and then down and back up. If you were to book my cruise now leaving Sunday....Price is outrageous compared to our booking last year! My advise is...if there is a cabin location you like...book it! Watch for price decreases until final payment. NCL will adjust for that.
funat55 Posted March 9, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 9, 2015 I purchased a studio for the Epic sailing April 12th. I purchased it two weeks after final payment for everyone else was due in January. Now the same studio is $200.00 more. Glad I bought when I did.
RuthlessBoss Posted March 9, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 9, 2015 Perhaps he's right in this case with this ship. It will be in a new location soon, so demand may be high.
Demonyte Posted March 10, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 10, 2015 Also the departure from Southampton is one of a kind, (especially shorter) reposition cruises are breed of their own pricing wise - nobody here can tell how it goes, even by comparing to regular, repeating itineraries.
