Can anyone recommend a place on GC where we could get wi-fi for free or cheap? Did a search but the most recent result was from 2013. Thanks!

I was in GC last week. I had wi-fi in a coffee shop in front on the north terminal. You have to buy something to get the password, I think the name of the coffeeshop is "paperman", not sure. It was on a second floor, and on the stairs, you could see some big logos, which one was wi-fi, the other restrooms, etc..

Free - The George Town Library on Edward Street has free wifi. You will need to go inside to get the password. Library opens at 10am Mon-Sat. Closed Sunday.

 

Formerly reliable spots at some fast food restaurants no longer seem to offer free wifi. Their signs are still up at Burger King touting free wifi but if you connect it diverts you to a pay-for-connection page to sign up.

last time I stayed at Sunset House there was WiFi at My Bar and throughout the hotel/ They gave us the password when we checked in, but they'll give it out on request if you ask nice ... the place is usually popular with locals for lunch & dinner & later .... and they almost all seemed to be on-line . . . .

 

but SSH is not 'downtown'
