Bugs?

We were docked at Costa Maya several years ago. There were swarms of bees up and dow. The pier . When we left a bunch of the bees were still on the ship and on balconys . After a few hours they were all gone

Just a random question and out of curiosity. I have been on a handful of cruises and haven't seen any bugs such as spiders, roaches, ants, etc on the cruise ship in rooms or on balconies. Anyone encounter any insects while on the ship? I have always loved the fact of being able to walk on the balcony at night without eight legged friends being around but I'm not sure if that has been just luck...

 

30plus cruises, all lines and can't remember ever seeing a bug on a ship.

We had a little swarm of small, flying black beetle bugs invade our cabin at Cabo San Lucas a few years ago. The ship didn't leave port until after dark. It was our own fault. We left the balcony door open with lights on in the cabin.

 

We managed to catch them all but not until my hubby got bit on his bare butt when he sat on one.
