wendyb43 Posted March 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2015 Hi Does anyone have an idea for a last minute back up plan if it is terrible weather in St. Lucia? I am booked on a speed boat tour, but that does not sound so fun in a thunderstorm.
reedprincess Posted March 12, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2015 When are you visiting? The odds of your day being a washout due to thunderstorms, especially over the next 2-3 months, are very, very low. It's dry season here in the islands...Sure, a passing shower may happen - but it's just that, a passing shower. If you're visiting in summer, rainy season, your odds are still low of a complete washout. Most showers are In the actual rainforest, not along the coast. If there is a full day of rain, most things will be a washout as I doubt you'll want to hit the beach or walk around town. Depends on when you're visivisiting. If you're looking at the weather for the next two weeks, just don't. It's always, always wrong. Reports always show rain and possible t-storms for the island, as it's a rainforest island, and all weather stations are based over 1,000 miles away. Saw two, 3 minute showers yesterday....yet the "forecast" showed possible rain and t-storms...Go figure. Don't worry about it, the odds are very much in your favor.
