Drinks on us

When I was on the Imagination in November,

I was told there was no "drinks on us" card. It was only a 4 day sailing so I don't know if it was that or the ship? I am doing a 7 day sailing in May on the Freedom as a casino offer. Can anyone tell me if I can expect "drinks on us" when I hit my required points?

That is odd. I was on a 4 day on Elation and they still had Drinks on Us. You earn the points you get it, the amount of days should not matter. If anything, they would be better off having it on the shorter cruises as you have less days on board to get free drinks but you still have to gamble just as much as anyone on a longer cruise to qualify. That must have just been the casino manager on that cruise, some of them seem to be VERY tight when it comes to any perks.

We had gone on a four day inspiration and the players club confirmed for us several times that my husband qualified for the drinks on us card for the upcoming sailing. When we got On board he was told that they do no have drink on us for the shorter cruises. The ocean players club doesn't seem to communicate well with the ships about this. Frustrating to say the least.

Does anyone know what it takes to earn 1500 points? Particularly for blackjack or slots.

Well guarded secret...but my GUESS (based upon my own experience and that of my husband)...

$300 play on slots I earned about 600 points.

Playing aprx $35 per hand, 2 people EACH with a $500 buyin and loss for first 2 days of cruise $2000, aprx 4 + 6hours play per day... offered drink card by pit boss. Tipped dealers at appropriate times. Followed with $1 per drink tip for the 'free' drinks.

I started with $500. I won about $900 total on the slot machines. I would then go play roulette for several hours at night. I won maybe $200 total at roulette. At the end of the cruise I left with $200.

I got a drinks on us card on the 4 day on Triumph in January. I'm sorry that I can't remember the point total it required, but I know it was less than a 7 day. It was also useless to me as I had cheers.

I've also gone on a casino cruise since then and did not get a drinks on us card automatically. It still had to be earned via points.

I don't know if the policy has changed since January though. Good news, cheers is pretty cheap on a 4 day.

Slots is $2.50 coin in per point, Video Poker is $5.00 coin in per point.

Table games is on average $10-$15 per hand/outcome, 3-4 hours per day. Contrary to what many think, an hour of $6 blackjack will get you absolutely nothing.
