found an old Elation clear glass coffeecup..in 8 yrs, I"ve never seen this type of merchandise in the gift shop;;after about 35 sails on Elation, and it going away next year..I'm pickled tink to have a cool souvie from it, as I don't buy that stuff. Anyone have one, and the age of it, any ship will do...there is blue in the bottom of it, and it is very cylyndrical, not fancy schmancy...which is unusual..TIA..for any info

I have a Value Village not far from me. They have the CCL hurricane glasses all the time. Usually priced at 99 cents and if you go on a Monday or Thursday it's 25% off day. 74 cents for the glass...I am trying to remember what the "up charge" was for buying a DOD in one of those glasses. :confused::eek:

Wait! What? The Elation is going away? It's not nearly as "old" as some of the others! It was the first ship my H & I sailed on as a couple. It was the sailing after its maiden voyage. So maybe 1998? Oh I'm sad. She was a beautiful ship.

Elation is just moving to Florida, Fort Lauderdale I believe. New Orleans is getting Triumph in its place. I think the swap will take place in 2016.

I found a Celebrity navy blue sweater in a blazer style at my local Thrift shop. Nice quality. I think it was $3. It doesn't have a logo on the outside. I use it for work.

In the past year, I have found a Carnival 8x10 picture frame still wrapped in the original plastic packaging, 4 whale tail cup/banks and a Carnival t-shirt all at Goodwill. It's really like hitting the cruise jackpot or finding buried treasure when I see these things, it's quite a rush :D:p

I have seen a couple in thrift stores. I refuse to buy them though, lol. I wanna WIN one or it just isnt the same. Lol. I won a game of trivia with my mom once, they gave us a medal. I was POed. Lol.

This is too funny! I still have some of those hurricane glasses from old cruises. We use them around the house for my wife's mix drinks. We even have this funny looking, coconut-ish monkey that we bought a drink in on some cruise with Carnival....hmmmm, wonder if I could take those dang hurricane glasses with me on our next? lol
