Catamaran Snorkle vs. bobsled/zip-line

We are in our mid-50's and very active. Both of us are certified scuba divers and love the water. We are considering the RC catamaran/snorkel excursion, but wondering if we are missing out on the bobsled/zip-line excursion. My husband will only do the ship excursions so no need to mention a private operator. We have done Dunn's River Falls twice in the past and loved it, but want to try something new. Also have heard he Falmouth port is far from most excursions and are a little drawn to catamaran because it is only half and day and we would still have time to enjoy the deserted ship.

Would love any opinions from those who have done these excursions. Thanks!

ummmmmm ... you're visiting Falmouth? I draw that conclusion from your post. In that case I have two points for you to ponder.

1. The zipline / bobsled attraction that I'm aware of is next door to Dunn's River Falls .... in round numbers an hour drive from Falmouth. You can look up Mystic Mountain. I've heard there are other zip attractions but MM is the only 'bobsled' I've heard of. You can check the distance on Google Earth ... Falmouth to Ocho . . .

2. Snorkeling/diving in Jamaica is generally considered to be so-so. You may find some good coral but don't expect to see much fish life. Small stuff yes, but years and years of over fishing pretty much decimated the larger fish populations. This is why you don't see SCUBA excursions . . .

We were at Mystic Mountain earlier this month. It was a lot of fun! The zip line guides were great. There were five lines, a vertical drop and a suspension bridge. The bobsled was really fun, and you take a long sky ride up and down the mountain.

Did you just go from the zipline to the bobsled on your own? I read a review on a ship's excursion and the reviewer mentioned a lot of wait time...everyone in the group had to finish one thing before moving on to the next.
