Pre-booking spa/salon services

Usually you can book limited spa services starting about a month before you cruise. I have previously booked nail treatments and encountered no problems. However I haven't yet experienced how things work since Canyon Ranch took over.

I wouldn't book in advance. As az_tchr says, there is no shortage of special offers (good discounts) on board. I was on the Eclipse for 14 nights in December. So it was Canyon Ranch (Jules57). I was offered a 50 minutes massage (I chose an aromatherapy) for the price of 30 minutes. It was so fabulous, I was instantly addicted (ouch$$$). I assumed further discounted sessions would only be available on port days, but this wasn't the case, I just asked the therapist and she found a code! She also gave me an complimentory 15 minute treatment with each full one (nails, head massage etc).

I'm so smitten, that I will now have to budget several hundred dollars for spa treatment into the cost of any cruise 😳

I hadn't realised that Canyon Ranch had recently taken over the service. I wonder what the differences are. Anyone tried both?
