AngAndBoys Posted March 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2015 69 year olds can do it too. Poor thing, alcohol probably interfered with her meds more than she expected. Just trying to have some fun and Bam! Trip RUINED. http://www.aboutcruiseships.com/news/woman-airlifted-after-falling-in-bar-on-carnival-imagination-2746.html

klfrodo Posted March 22, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2015 Where did it say anywhere in the article that this woman was drinking?
KPfromCT Posted March 22, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 22, 2015 Nowhere in this article, did it indicate she was intoxicated. We shouldn't jump to conclusions. Like a previous poster said, she could have just slipped. Either way, I hope she is OK. Prayers to her and her family. So sad to have this happen on vacation.

My 80 year old dad looks 60 and outdoes me (55) by a long shot in physical ability most of the time even though he has fortunately surived many an accident on skis, horseback, ranching, doing winter, and taught every grandchild how to ski. Yes..he has fallen walking on ice and navigating feeding his horses daily..most recently had an issue with electric fence. Not a lot different than slipping on a ship. AngAndBoys Posted March 22, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted March 22, 2015 Yeah, I came to that conclusion because the article showed up in my Facebook feed with her being intoxicated in the title in the feed. I just read it again and realized it says it nowhere in the actual article. Kinda weird. Sorry for any misinformation.

Facebook is a GREAT place to spread rumors, misinformation, and outright lies. http://Www.snopes.com is a great site to visit to get the real deal on an "interesting" story your friends are sharing on Facebook.
