Carnival Pride 2.0 reviews...thoughts..comments??

I was on the 3rd or 4th sailing after dry dock and my TV hadn't been upgraded and I heard from others on board that their cabins tv's hadn't been upgraded either. They may have been changing out the TVs though over time doing certain decks or cabins over time. Maybe someone who has more recently sailed can chime in and let you know.

Someone told me they only replace them when they break down. But there is a supply closet somewhere with like a dozen flat screens in it. If there is any problem with your TV whatsoever just call Guest Services and you'll have one of those in an hour.

I just go back last week from the 14 day cruise... The2.0 updates are nice, but 14 days was a little long for us.. We were a group of 8 people, 4 cabins, two on deck 7 and two on deck 1... none of us had flat screen TV's in our cabins. We are 55 to 60 years old, and thought most passangers were older then us. I believe that 14 days is a little too long, as the entertainment especially the music repeats quite often.

Yes, they had Hasbro the game show along with 4 production shows. I can tell you that getting off the ship was a breeze if you did self assist and a nightmare if you did not, as most of the passangers did not do self assist.

Was tgere a show or comic going on every night. For ur 14 day cruise can u tell me if anything was going on on the lido deck even at night. Did u have sail away parties after port?? Was there bingo on some nights. We're there any slot tournaments in the casino do u know of.

Just wanna make sure with a 14 day cruise with an older age demographic that there is plenty of things still going on.

What in your opinion made your trip to long??

Yes there were sail away get togethers with each port. Not sure I would really say that they were parties. We had 6 ports grand cayman, costa rica, panama, aurba, Bonaire and St Maarten..

Some nights there were parties on the lido deck... there was also a Mardi gras party in the atrium.. They had bingo most days, but I think it was during the day or early evening, not at night. Yes, there was a slot tourney.

The issue I think with 14 days, is that the entertainment, especially the music was the same after awhile. The bands and singers only have so much material and after a week to 10 days, you here the same things over and over again. Also, the menu, did not really change all that much.. The same food, but served slightly different each night. We had duck on the menu 4 straight days, but served a little different each night.

Overall the cruse was fun, but for us, I think about 10 days is the max for a cruise.

Any new reviews on the march 29th sailing? ???

just came back yesterday form the first cruise back out of baltimore. great cruise but very crowded. they announced they broke the record on board with i believe they said over 2800 guests. can't remember the exact number. also said there were over 800 kids on the boat for spring break. loved the new 2.0 improvements especially the red frog bar. a good remodel for a bar previously under used. the new water park was small compared to other boats but was good for the kids to splash and play in. the green thunder slide is really good. the rooms were the same. we had 2 adjoining rooms. our room had a new flat screen(very small) and our kids room had the old tube style which actually looked better.

getting ready to run out the door. but if you have any specific questions ask and i will try to answer them later in the day.:)

Let's try this again and use the right fingers this time - Sigh!! :o

Absolutely love all the comments and the reviews. We have been on ships with 2.0, but never on the Pride. First Pride trip is coming up the end of May and it's getting harder and harder to wait that long.

2.0 "things" are great and add so much to the fun. Our favorite spot besides the Serenity is the Alchemy Bar - it's our last stop of the day for that "one more for the road" drink. We're still working on going through the complete apothacary menu!!! :D

I am on Pride this month on 4/26. Looking forward to it. It seems everyone loves this boat. I was out of New Orleans having lived in St Louis. However now that I have moved to Southeast PA... It will be nice to have a ship 90 minutes away.
