Hi validolo,

The Divina aft balconies vary in size, depending upon which deck you'll be on.

Here are some pics from deck 8 aft:

This is the size for both deck 8 and 9 aft balconies.

Deck 10 balconies are some of the biggest on the ship! I looked over from the pocket on the last morning of my cruise. If you're on Deck 10, you'll be VERY pleasantly surprised :)

I found you a really a nice video, showing the deck 11 balcony size (starting at 4:14):

Deck 12 balconies are a tiny bit bigger than those on decks 8 + 9.

Deck 13 aft balconies are VERY, VERY small, though--barely big enough for chairs (!) Here's a link to an older cc post:

The original poster is looking for info on the Poesia, which is a different class than Divina, so Satincruz's information might not be directly applicable. However, I'm booked in an aft-facing balcony on deck 10 of the Splendida (same class as Divina), so this information was super helpful! Thanks, Satincruz! I enjoyed the video you found...definitely going to bring one of those hammocks! :)

Interestingly, on the Splendida those aft-facing cabins on 13 aren't even classified as balcony cabins. They're O2 cabins, and the itty bitty balcony is just a bonus. If I had booked it as a balcony cabin (as it is on the Divina), I'd be disappointed.

Hello, Satincruz.

Thank you, but Divina it's a different class and I think that there will be differences in the size of the balconies. Any way, thank you :)

Oops--I'm really sorry about that! I misread your post.

Pics of Poesia's balconies are going to be harder to find, b/c I think that some of the aft balcony sizes may have been changed during one of the recent dry docks.

If your sailing is still far off--you can possibly post on a thread or 2 over here--and someone may be able to take some pics for you. Anyone could do it--especially on the last morning, after everyone leaves the cabins. Just tell them to put the camera over from the side corner decks:

Hi Pluto,

I'm glad to help you, at least :)

Divina deck 10 really has amazing balconies. They seemed almost as big as a small cabin. Really, unbelievably deep. If I ever get one like that, I will hardly ever leave it! I know you'll love it ;)

Along w/ the hammock, you can ask your steward if he can put long lounge chairs on the balcony for you. Some people like to use them on the deep balconies.

I'd have been pretty disappointed w/ a deck 13 one, too. Although even then--you could keep the sliding door open, and then at least extend one side of the balcony, by moving the chair a little bit back into the cabin itself.

Dear Satincruz. Thanks for your advice. it's a good idea

Please, somebody upload pics of MSC Poesia the aft facing balcony cabin, for example cabin 10241 (it's mine). :)

That looks like a really nice one!

It's extra-good, b/c you can easily "expand" out into that side pocket. And you can quickly get across to the port side pocket, too (like times when the ship is turning, and you're losing your sunset photo op).

If you don't like your balcony/deck 10--go up to deck 12 (where the flag is).

That is a very nice wraparound mini-deck area, and it has 2 really big fans that blow cool air :)

Thanks for all. But I made upgrade my cabin to Aurea class and my new cabin is 15026. I think it will be better :)
