wrigley80 Posted April 9, 2015 Author #376 Share Posted April 9, 2015 Brianna - first - hugs to you and your dad. Guys is now open for dinner!! That's great. We were on the Breeze last summer and they closed at like 5 I think. Not that I really needed to eat more of them that I did  Thanks for the hint on the BBD rum. I'll have to get some this summer when we're on the Dream. As mixers with coconut rum - I like to put it in a tall glass (think LI iced tea) with cranberry or raspberry lime seltzer a splash of cranberry (just to make it pink) and lime. Delish and not too sweet so you can have more. Plus it saves on calories so you can have more guys burgers ;) We always see towel animal theatre. My husband is obsessed with towel animals. He goes to the classes every cruise and has the book. He leaves the tv on the deck cam station 24/7 and when he wakes up he can see if they're there. Yep every day Guys is open now in the evening. That is a nice feature for dinner without having to go to the Lido or the dining room. The night that we went for dinner there were no lines and it definitely hit the spot craving for a burger that I had. Thanks for the tip on the cranberry for the BBD coconut rum. Your hubby isn't the only one I am always watching the deck cams
wrigley80 Posted April 9, 2015 Author #377 Share Posted April 9, 2015 I have seen pictures of the Lido zoo but never experienced it until our Liberty cruise in January. What GREAT FUN to walk out in the morning with a cuppa and see all those cuties hogging the chairs! Yeah it was definitely a nice surprise that morning By the way your profile name looks familiar......have we cruised together in the past??? Don't know why when I reply to multiple quotes my lst reply is sucked into the post I am quoting!:confused::eek::confused: Here is my response, Brianna!!! Brianna, have never had the pleasure, but I have posted a lot to your threads and also Jamman and I are buddies and fellow NJ'ers, so I post to his threads a lot too. We were actually going to go on the Pride with him this week, but switched to next month because of Easter. You and I have been on the same ships tho, just not together! It was my DREAM to sail on both the Liberty and Breeze. Didn't think that would ever happen because we sail from Manhattan (and a quick trip south to Baltimore next month) but we had the chance to do a B2B on Liberty this past winter, so I am hoping we will get lucky and be able to book the Breeze someday too! Would LOVE LOVE LOVE to sail out of NO and do a pre cruise trip there. We have only sailed out of there once, flew in the day before and I was so sick that I couldn't enjoy it. Plus it was YEARS ago. Can't wait to read the rest of your adventures! And two thumbs up to your dad! Yes I love Jamman's reviews as well. Hopefully they are having a great time on the Pride this week. And I'm sure he will be doing a review when he returns....or at least I hope so ;)
wrigley80 Posted April 9, 2015 Author #378 Share Posted April 9, 2015 Great review as always!! Can't wait to hear about the bar hop stops! We just were in Cozumel on the Dream and went to Punta Morena and explored the East side of the island. It was paradise!! I think Punta Morena is a bar hop stop too correct? We had never been to the East side of Cozumel and now know what we were missing out on!! Thank You so much. Punta Morena was the first stop on the Bar Hop and yes it absolutely beautiful on the eastern side of the island. And if you have never been over to that side you are most definitely missing out on the true beauty that is Cozumel. Everyone needs to see it for themselves
wrigley80 Posted April 9, 2015 Author #379 Share Posted April 9, 2015 OK I have done 2 hours of work this morning. I would say that's enough. So it is time for some more photos The Carnival Freedom had pulled up alongside of us. They closed off the gangway on the Breeze while the Freedom was pulling up dockside so we all waited on the balcony until the next all clear was made to head down to the gangway. wrigley80 Posted April 9, 2015 Author #380 Share Posted April 9, 2015 This is the new pier that is being constructed. It is to be completed by November 2015. They will really be packing the ships into Cozumel. The pier will be big enough for 2 more ships I have cruised on the Freedom and thought it was a big ship. But WOW the Breeze is so much bigger So we breezed through the shopping area at the Puerta Maya pier. Octavia wanted to stop at Del Sol to get a pair of sunglasses replaced. Del Sol sunglasses have a lifetime warranty so she had hers replaced no questions asked. Once we were done with that we headed out to the taxi stand area. wrigley80 Posted April 9, 2015 Author #381 Share Posted April 9, 2015 We made our way into a taxi. For the Cozumel Bar Hop we were to meet our group downtown in front of the Senor Frogs Notice our shirts for the Bar Hop. I would say they were quite fitting. Laura order them for everyone. Octavia was Drunk #1 I (Brianna) was Drunk #2 Peggy was Drunk #3 Laura was Drunk #4 Jan was Drunk #5 And we all had our shirts in a different color so that we find each other when we did get drunk. That would come in handy later on :p

wrigley80 Posted April 9, 2015 Author #384 Share Posted April 9, 2015 So after everyone was all checked in for the Bar Hop we were on our way. We had about 35 in our group. We all met right in front of Senor Frogs and then our guide would take us out to the buses This is right where we all the others who were going on the Bar Hop
wrigley80 Posted April 9, 2015 Author #385 Share Posted April 9, 2015 Well we were now on our way on the Bar Hop. So Octavia made a group reservation with our roll call for the Bar Hop because the more people you have the cheaper it is. Prior to arrival in Cozumel you have to send a deposit for $27.00 to reserve your spot on the Bar Hop. Then upon arrival on the bus you may the remaining balance which in our case was an additional $20.00. We received a $10.00 per person discount because we had over 20 people within our group. For the price that you pay you get transportation throughout the day, a welcome shot at all 4 bars, plus a Cozumel Bar Hop t-shirt. It was definitely a fun and enjoyable day. I would do it again in a second. We met some awesome people. We had 2 wonderful guides
wrigley80 Posted April 9, 2015 Author #386 Share Posted April 9, 2015 For anyone who has been to Cozumel but never been to the Eastern side of the Island you are truly missing out. The Eastern side is absolutely beautiful and nothing like the touristy western side. The trip from the western side to get to the other side takes about 15 minutes. wrigley80 Posted April 9, 2015 Author #387 Share Posted April 9, 2015 Our guide, Marshall, explaining to us what we are seeing along the way. Namelocg Posted April 9, 2015 #392 Share Posted April 9, 2015 Hi Brianna, Alyssa and I will be in Cozumel again next month on the Dream. I was just wondering what company you used for the bar hop? We did one in Key West through Carnival in December and had a blast so we thought we would do the one in Cozumel. If you can't name the vendor here please email me at Namelocg at aol dot com. Thanks, Gale
