wrigley80 Posted April 7, 2015 Author #301 Share Posted April 7, 2015 As always and as everyone else has said, I'm enjoying your review. I, too, wish your Dad well. My husband spent several years on dialysis so I know it is an adjustment. His doctor had told us about the cruises that provide dialysis services but we never really explored the option. We had never cruised before and weren't sure we wanted to do that. My husband was blessed to receive a kidney transplant just two days after his 65th birthday. That was 12 years ago and we are planning cruise #7 in November on the Pride. I hope that your dad will cruise again soon, too. Thank you so much. And thanks for sharing your story with me as well. My dad has also been put on the transplant list. I know that cruising with my dad being on dialysis isn't going to be easy.....or even possible but if it's not then we have to try and find other trips that we can do together. wrigley80 Posted April 7, 2015 Author #302 Share Posted April 7, 2015 Brianna, I always love your reviews! I love how thorough you are and all the pictures you take. I particularly love the ppictures of the water that you showed. One of my favorite things to do on a cruise is to just sit and read and listen to the sound of the waves while looking out at the water. (Sometimes it's hard to focus on the book because the water lures my eyes out to it. ) Thank you so much for taking the time to do thyour reviews. I know it must take a huge amount of time, but know that it allows the rest of us to travel with you and enjoy cruising. Thank you so much. That is one of my favorite activities too....just sitting on the balcony and watching the water go by. It is so peaceful and so relaxing. I usually always take a book and I never even open it [emoji12] I'm too busy exploring the ship and enjoying myself. I enjoy doing the reviews because it is a great way to re-live the vacation [emoji2] thanks again. I hope you continue to enjoy the rest Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
vmt514 Posted April 7, 2015 #303 Share Posted April 7, 2015 Brianna - did I miss something or did you not get off the ship in Jamaica? Our second time to Jamaica, and I wasn't crazy about the port last year. Any suggestions. It will be our first time in Grand Cayman. Is the Sting Ray excursions worth it? Any in particular that you'd recommend. I'm always nervous about not doing a cruise sponsored activity. I know they cost more, and it's not that I think I'll get ripped off but that for some reason we won't make it back to the ship. So, any suggestions would be appreciated. Keep the pictures coming. They make my day to see what it ahead for our summer vacation.

I don't particularly care for Jamaica so I always use that port day as a stay on the ship day. For Grand Cayman you definitely need to go to Stingray City. It is amazing.....we have been there 5 times. The first two visits we went with Moby Dick tours and the last three times were with MarineLand tours. I highly recommend them. You can book their excursion through the cruise line. It is called the "Deluxe Stingray City" tour. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

angeleyez915 Posted April 7, 2015 #306 Share Posted April 7, 2015 Awwwww thank you so so much. It's comments like yours why I do these reviews. I'm so happy to hear that you went on a cruise and enjoyed it. Going by yourself can be intimidating but its also how you meet people and come out of your shell. Send me an email to butzy80@gmail.com. I would love to hear all about your first cruise experience Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Thank you! I sent you an email . svwkirby Posted April 7, 2015 #307 Share Posted April 7, 2015 The coconut BBD is also my favorite. Other than pineapple juice what is a good mixer?? I can't imagine why the guys wouldn't want any [emoji12] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk First, I've enjoyed your review. I'm doing the research for a possible extended family cruise next March and this is one of the ships/itineraries we're looking at. Second, coconut rum mixes well with Coke/Pepsi/Cola flavored drinks. It's been a while since I've had it, but almost ends up like a Dr. Pepper flavor.
cruiser fanatic Posted April 7, 2015 #308 Share Posted April 7, 2015 (edited) Matt called all the kids up onstage to help him throw out Mardi Gras beads into the audience. See the tall boy in the front row in jeans. He was a Diamond guest. He had been on 28 cruises.....that kid is my HERO :) Matt said he is the youngest Diamond guest It's time to do the WOBBLE. Laura is right up front I wonder how old he is. I know of a young lady who is 13 and has been on 40 cruises. I was told she was the youngest diamond. When I was a kid the parents went on vacation and the kids got a t-shirt! Edited April 7, 2015 by cruiser fanatic

I have been on a number of different Carnival ships and this is without question the best one for food, amentities, décor....I could go on and on. Thanks for the tip on the coconut rum. I may try to make some Twilight Zones at home with it too :p I wonder how old he is. I know of a young lady who is 13 and has been on 40 cruises. I was told she was the youngest diamond. When I was a kid the parents went on vacation and the kids got a t-shirt! He was 11. Matt asked him onstage how old he was. You're not the only one I got that very same t-shirt. Then I wised up and I didn't get left at home anymore

wrigley80 Posted April 7, 2015 Author #312 Share Posted April 7, 2015 We left Margaritaville and made our way over to the bus that was going to take us to Tiki Beach for the day This was a postcard about HELL, GRAND CAYMAN on the bus. I had always wanted to visit Hell (yeah I know how weird that sounds :p) but we just never had the time. Octavia couldn't believe that I had never been there so we were going to try and go there after Tiki Beach Once we were on the bus we waited about 10 minutes for everyone else to arrive. Keep in mind that everyone else who was going to Tiki Beach for the day with the all-inclusive pass had to pay for theirs. We got ours for free :) It pays to know people in these ports of call
wrigley80 Posted April 7, 2015 Author #313 Share Posted April 7, 2015 We made it to Tiki Beach. So beautiful It was a pretty busy day in port. There 5 ships in port today Octavia, Laura, Peggy, and Jan headed to the BBQ lunch. And I headed straight for the water. I brought my snorkel stuff with me so I was excited to venture to see if I could find anything. I forgot my waterproof camera on the ship because I did see a lot of fish
wrigley80 Posted April 7, 2015 Author #314 Share Posted April 7, 2015 None of my friends got any photos of me in the water because they were too busy sucking down the free Rum Punch :p I was in the water for about an hour and a half. I decided to get out and get dried off and start drinking some rum punch myself. Hopefully my friends saved me some
wrigley80 Posted April 7, 2015 Author #315 Share Posted April 7, 2015 I made my way up to the bar area I brought some dry clothes to change into because I hate wearing a wet swimming suit. Bessie made an appearance at Tiki Beach. That rum punch was pretty strong and I was drinking them pretty fast. So I started to do "the lean".....haha We stayed at Tiki Beach about 3 hours. We decided to go when it was getting really hot out and we had all had just about enough to drink. So we decided to pack up and head to Hell, Grand Cayman. I was excited to finally say that "I've been to HELL and BACK."
wrigley80 Posted April 7, 2015 Author #316 Share Posted April 7, 2015 Leaving Tiki Beach we took the Public Bus to go to Hell. It was only $1.25 pp. The bus dropped us off right in front of Devils Hangout (which is the Souvenir Store). I got that Black shirt while I was there Lots of different t-shirt designs
wrigley80 Posted April 7, 2015 Author #317 Share Posted April 7, 2015 I got a couple t-shirts and a postcard with a stamp from Hell. I did "the lean" in Hell I thought this was pretty ironic considering where we were ;)
wrigley80 Posted April 7, 2015 Author #318 Share Posted April 7, 2015 And this is HELL.....WELCOME :D HELL was nothing but volcanic rock and ash. After seeing this I can imagine that the real thing probably looks the same :p
wrigley80 Posted April 7, 2015 Author #319 Share Posted April 7, 2015 They even had chickens in HELL This is the HELL Post Office where you can get your passports stamped and mail your postcards home We were in HELL for about 45 minutes and that was long enough :p We headed back up to the Devils Hangout shop where we waited for the next bus to take us back to Port area. We had a busy but very fun day in Grand Cayman

Can you tell me the price per bottle and were you worried about it being delivered to the ship? Thanks! Tam The BBD is $14.99 a bottle or two for $25.00. No I wasn't worried and you don't the option to take it yourself so if you buy alcohol in Grand Cayman it gets taken back to the ship for you
