Wrigley80's Carnival Breeze Photo Review - March 8-14, 2015

Hi...it's me again...the fellow former but always in my heart, Chicagoan who still loves pop!! As you are so detail oriented about everything on your cruise, which I love, I want to ask your opinion of something on the Breeze.

We have always had a balcony cabin on Deck 7 because it is sandwiched between 2 other passenger cabin decks for less noise. When I booked the Breeze back in January, I was not aware of this outside Promenade on Deck 5, which is something new. I know that your cabin was elsewhere, but I was just wondering if you have any opinions on that cabin location. We are going to be on the starboard side near a hot tub and I've heard so many different reactions to being in a balcony on the 6th and 7th decks.

If you have any opinion of this, being on the Breeze so recently, I would love to hear it...thanks!!

Enjoying your review as always Brianna! I'll have to catch up with it once I get back from my Pride cruise. Rock on girl!!

Not trying to hijack Brianna's review but Jamman54, I just want to wish you a great time on your cruise on Pride and hoping you do another review when you get back. It's warming up (we're in VA), so hopefully it won't be as cold as you head down the Chesapeake. :)

Brianna, I just wanted you to know that reading your reviews is what gave me the courage to go on my first cruise. Please feel free to add me as a friend and I will tell you more detail as to my fears and why I was so hesitant. My first cruise was on the Ecstasy - your review of that ship is what helped me make the choice of the ship. I had never been on a cruise, and I decided to go alone. I had the time of my life and thinking of your reviews and how much fun you had is what helped me decide to come out of my shell when I was on the cruise and allow myself to have fun and meet new people. Honestly Carnival should pay you for your reviews. I have visited many reviews but yours keeps everyone engaged and somehow doesnt start a frenzy of arguments and negativity from those out there who just seem to want to start trouble. Thank you!!

As I mentioned before in my review we had a huge roll call so we wanted to have a Meet and Greet. One person in our roll call had contacted Carnival about a week before the cruise with a final head count. She asked Carnival for a lounge onboard and she asked for a certain date and time. We asked Carnival for our meet and greet to be on Monday (our first day at sea) for 2:00 pm. They honored our request and we were put in the Liquid Lounge nightclub. Carnival posted it in the Fun Times

Thinking about trying this for my upcoming cruise... how much is the cost of a private party like this? Does carnival charge per person at the door to the lounge or does it have to be prepaid? Thanks in advance!

So the fuel barge fills up on the PORT side which is the smoking side on this ship  When we were leaving on our 8 day in Feb they were telling people that the only smoking area available was the Casino bar. I don't smoke :) but my mom and sister do. I don't know if it is always like that or if because of the downpour the day we left (lido was ankle deep) I thought it was at least a good safety thing to have. :D

During fueling on the Ecstasy, no ash trays had yet been put out and crew was actively telling smokers they were not yet permitted to smoke anywhere other than in the casino bar area.

We had about 50 shot glasses brought for the exchange. The shot glasses were a great way to get to know everyone and where they were from. So with the shot glass exchange....I went first and picked a shot glass. I introduced myself, where I was from, and why I liked to cruise. And then we continued like this until all the shot glasses were gone :)

I think bringing the shot glasses is such a neat idea!

Thank you so much for doing another review. I always enjoy them and get ideas for new itineraries. Little French Key is on my hit list after reading about you and mitsugirly's days there.

You're welcome. That's why I like to do reviews. I always take ideas away from other reviews as well. Oh yeah you definitely have to go to Little French Key for a monkey la la

Can I ask why you don't get off the ship in Jamaica?

FYI-those tacos look awesome :)

I always pick one port on a cruise to stay onboard so that I can enjoy the pool on a quiet day. If the cruise stops in Jamaica I always choose to stay onboard there. I don't like Jamaica. It's just a personal preference.

The chicken tacos were very good.

I'm drinking a pop right now....haha and watching the Cubs on Opening night.

On the Dream, Magic, and Breeze (ships with the Lanai) I wouldn't get a balcony on any deck lower than deck 8. You don't have much privacy on the lower decks above the Lanai. In April last year we had a balcony on deck 6 mid-ship and the balcony was nice but you couldn't really enjoy it during the day. I would never do that again. Now if we cruise on the Dream class ships we will go on deck 10 or above

I had a spa balcony front but close to mid and it was great, did not notice the wrap around deck unless looking at it. My parents and sister had deck 7 with a suite and balcony next to each other right over the hot tubs. I much rather be on the upper decks too. We booked lido for our June cruise on the Breeze to be high enough again.

Awwwww thank you so so much. It's comments like yours why I do these reviews. I'm so happy to hear that you went on a cruise and enjoyed it. Going by yourself can be intimidating but its also how you meet people and come out of your shell.

Send me an email to butzy80@gmail.com. I would love to hear all about your first cruise experience

I'm enjoying your review. So sorry to read about your Dad. I hope the dialysis helps. I'm sure you missed him on the cruise but it looks like you had a fun time which is easy to do on a Carnival ship. :) Keep the review coming!

Thank you so much. Thanks for the prayers for my dad. We sure hope the dialysis helps as well. I'm sure it will....it just a big process to get everything started and a lot of training that goes along with it.

Yeah I definitely missed my dad onboard with me. It felt really weird the first couple days. I always fun on a "fun ship".....how can you not have fun.

The private party for our meet and greet was free. You just have to contact Carnival a week or so prior to the cruise with your date, time, and how many people would be attending. They will do their best to accommodate your request.

Thank you so much. Thank you for well wishes for my dad

It was a great idea that really showed where everyone was from. And why everyone likes to cruise. It was a good ice breaker for our meet and greet

Yeah this cruise was our first spa balcony. Which was nice even though I didn't have spa privileges. And we had a lido balcony on the Dream in December which was right by the elevator. That was in a perfect location. Now our cruise on the Breeze for the repositioning cruise we have a Premium Vista Balcony on deck 8. I am really looking forward to that cabin [emoji2]
