Wrigley80's Carnival Breeze Photo Review - March 8-14, 2015

So once I was all cleaned up I headed out to dinner. Cucina was on deck 11 AFT so I headed out of our cabin. As I passed over the Lido Deck the sail-away party was still going on

 

Who is ready to WOBBLE???

 

 

I stayed and watched the dancing for a few minutes. People were definitely having a good time

One of the first things I did after I booked this cruise was make my reservation at Cucina for dinner on the first night. I went to dinner by myself....my friends went to the dining room. It was a wonderful meal. I highly recommend it to anyone who wans a good Italian meal. Everything was delicious. It was $15.00 and you get an appetizer, a side, the main course, and dessert plus if you went on the first night you also received a free carafe of wine. I took full advantage of that ;)

 

 

My reservation was for 6:00 pm. There weren't too many people eating at that time

 

The menu....it all looked so good but I knew exactly what I wanted

I am thinking of trading in my yacht for that one in the back....what do you think??

 

 

Your yacht probably gets better fuel mileage than that one. :)

The bread with rosa tomatoes, garlic, and a cream cheese. It was all very good....minus the tomatoes

If you can afford a yacht like that you're probably not too worried about the fuel mileage :) :p

I ordered Nonna's meatballs as my appetizer....they were delicious

 

This was view at dinner that night. It was so beautiful

 

This was what I had been waiting for....the Chicken Parmesan. It was so delicious. Hands down the best thing that I have ever had to eat in all of our cruises

I ordered the Canolis for dessert.....a great ending to a wonderful meal

So as I was finishing with dinner the sunset was getting more and more beautiful so I paid for my dinner and headed outside

Thank you for your detailed review! My wife and I sailed the Breeze this past November and honestly didn't find the time to see every part of the ship, so we decided to go again this December. We didn't eat at the Italian restaurant or the steakhouse (although we did eat at the steakhouse on the Freedom and LOVED it).

Glad you got to end the day with some sun. Our first cruise together we had sun and warm weather (it was July) every single day. Our last cruise saw some sort of rain on 4 out of 7 days. We didn't let it bother us though. In fact, when everyone else ran for cover while we were laying by the pool, we simply got in the pool with a couple others and enjoyed our "wobbly pops" (that is the only pop I like!)

Keep on posting the pictures and get a lean on!:D

HAHAHAHA :D :D It is so funny that you mention that difference between "pop" and "soda"......my friends on the cruise with me from Florida gave me a hard time whenever I said I wanted a pop. they would literally laugh at me. Laura even went as far on the trip from Tampa to Miami as to ask me what kind of pop I wanted when we stopped for lunch.

My friends in Louisiana do the same thing. They think it is so funny when I call it "pop." Listen we live in the north and we call it "pop".....haha

 

I'm originally from Michigan, living in the south since 86 and still call it 'pop' to this day ! You definitely get a few that look at you like you have 4 heads :rolleyes:

OMG, my mouth is watering! We ate there for lunch one day when it was complimentary and our food was delicious. Love that beautiful chandelier that you can see in one of your photos, it hangs above the dessert area in the aft section of the buffet. The décor in the buffet area was so pretty with the umbrella tables and muted colors.

The fuel barge is filling us up to get ready for our 6 days in the Caribbean]

 

So the fuel barge fills up on the PORT side which is the smoking side on this ship :eek: When we were leaving on our 8 day in Feb they were telling people that the only smoking area available was the Casino bar. I don't smoke :) but my mom and sister do. I don't know if it is always like that or if because of the downpour the day we left (lido was ankle deep) I thought it was at least a good safety thing to have. :D

Can't wait to hear to more....my DW and I are going on the Breeze in a little over a month. Can't wait to do the single digit dance. Hopefully you have your whole review posted by the time we get on the ship, this one is rather lenthly.

 

How was the food? Particularly in the dining room? We hardly ever eat the buffet other than to grab a burger or something light when we are laying out in the sun.

We had about 30 minutes of rain on embarkation day but other than that we had perfect weather the entire cruise. It was a great week for a cruise.

We didn't see the whole ship either....that's why it gives me a reason to go back again [emoji6] on your next cruise on the Breeze you definitely have to try out Cucina. It was wonderful.....I feel like it was even better than the steakhouse.

thank you for posting. love your reviews. when I posted my Breeze review I received negative comments as well but I found that overall people are excited to see the cruises through someone elses eyes and possibly learn new things to try on their own cruises.

 

 

That's the whole reason why I do reviews and why I enjoy reading the reviews of others. I feel like if I can take at least one thing away from someone's review then it is worth it for me to return the favor.

Haha....what is it about using the word "pop".....it's like a dirty "three" letter word in the south [emoji12] I just do it to bug my friends too even when they try to correct me

I never did make it up there for lunch when it was free. There were too many other places to eat for lunch. That's one thing the Breeze wasn't short on....was places to eat.

I loved the layout of the Lido area. The umbrellas were such a nice touch with the decor

When they were refueling the ship they made an announcement that there was to be No Smoking on the port side smoking areas. Then when they were done refueling they made an announcement that was OK to smoke on the outside deck smoking areas.

Guys Burgers, Blue Iguana Cantina, Lido buffet, Seaday Brunch, pizza, Cucina, and the Steakhouse were all wonderful. However I didn't like the new menus in the dining room for the American Table menu at dinner. Not enough choices and they took away many of the items that I enjoyed. But I definitely didn't go hungry on the cruise [emoji6] I'm sure you will find something that you enjoy

Great minds think alike ;) And yes I completely agree we definitely need to do dinner together at Cucina. And with it being a 12-day cruise we will have plenty of days to choose from. I can't wait for that cruise
