I just want to thank you for taking the time to post such excellent, detailed reviews. I really enjoy reading them and looking through all of the pictures. We will be on the Breeze in June so I am very excited and interested in this one! :)

Love your your first photos and first part of of your review!

 

 

 

back in 2009, my last cruise with my best cruise buddy,my mom we stayed at Hol Inn Port of Miami. We loved it back then, and hope that I can snag a good deal there again in upcoming cruise October. We also had dinner at Bubba gumps across the street and enjoyed our pre cruise day at bayside.

 

 

Well I uploaded almost 250 photos tonight. I am by myself at work tomorrow so I wanted to make sure that I have plenty to keep me busy [emoji6]

 

It sounds like we had a very similar pre-cruise day in Miami

I love reading your reviews even if I haven't got a cruise planned on the particular ship you are doing a review of because you in my opinion do the best reviews I have seen on these boards, informative and stocked with lots of wonderful quality shots. So please do your review the way you do it best, don't change for anyone if people don't like it they can move on and read another review instead of wasting their time making white noise complaints about your reviews.

 

Secondly send my get well wishes to your dad I am so sorry to hear he is experiencing some health complaints

So excited to read your review ALWAYS...I can't wait to read how you felt about 3 people in a room. I did a 3rd person on the Breeze last year (I think) and doubt I would do it again. Pricing was the only reason and my flight also cost WAAAAY more than my cruise [emoji57].

Thank you [emoji2] other than being in a cabin with my mom and dad....this was the first time I had ever shared a cabin with 2 other people. I was unsure myself how it was going to work but it worked out great. The first morning of the cruise one of my friends stayed back while I went to breakfast with my other friend and she re-arranged the 2 beds. She took the 2 beds and put them against each wall. I will have an updated photo in my review of how the room layout looked after she was done moving the beds around. It worked out perfect....I was very surprised. We also had a good system for showers and getting ready in the morning.

Wow, I can't believe some of the complaints but glad you are keeping up with your review as you always have. I probably shouldn't say this, but I think it is rather rude of anyone to complain about a review that someone else is taking the time to do. If they don't like the comments and your responses, skip ahead...simple as that. There was another CC member who did really nice reviews, however he didn't do one of his last cruise last year. There were so many complaints about the last review that he did and now I'm afraid we will no longer get to enjoy another of his reviews and it's a shame. Reviews take a lot of time and uploading pictures can take a lot of time. I really hope those comments from a few won't deter you, but I have a feeling they won't. :) I love that your reviews are always detailed with a lot of pictures and it's nice that you take the time to respond to comments and answer questions. I'm looking forward to your next installment. :)

Thank You for the kind words. Nah they won't deter me one bit probably just make me want to add more photos and commentary :) I look at it this way you can't please everyone so don't even try to. They can check back in once a week to get caught up if they so choose to and if not oh well I am still going to work on my review everyday. It gives me something to do at work :p

You're welcome and thank you for reading :) These reviews are a lot of work and anyone who has attempted to put one together will know that. Life sometimes gets in the way of finishing them in a timely manner but I have always finished mine. I always like to go into detail for ideas prior to the cruise as well because that is how we learn from one another. Pass along those travel tips.....that is what these forum boards are for :)

Good morning.....I am at work by myself this morning so it is a perfect time to continue on with some more photos

 

Well I now had company in the priority area

 

The Carnival Splendor was in port with us and docked right behind us

 

Now we got to the port about 10:00 am and they called us to begin boarding by 11:00 am. We were the first group to board....I was the 8th person to step foot on the ship :p

 

I enjoy this walk up the gangway...it is the walk back down that sucks. But were not going to talk about that yet

 

I was the first person on the elevator....that never happens

I decided to head straight to the cabin to drop off the carry-ons. I was carrying all the pop and water and 3 bottles of wine. My suitcase was getting heavier with every step that I took

 

I made it to our cabin. WOW....I was impressed with the Spa Balcony. We were in cabin 11244 and my friend Octavia was in 11246 so I asked our room steward Christian to open up the balcony divider between us. That was very nice. This was my first time in a spa cabin. Now I didn't get to use the spa because I was technically the third person in our cabin. It made no difference to me I probably wouldn't have went anyway.

 

I love the sea green and light blues in the cabin. I thought it was very pretty and so relaxing

 

The bathroom vanity with the Elemis Spa products. I really liked the Linen Spray. It was a Lavender lemongrass scent

 

I turned around in the cabin and noticed these waiting for me. A 4 pack of Bud Light and some Sour Gummy Funnels. They were sent to me on this cruise from my Louisiana friends that I cruise with every December. That was such a nice surprise

 

We all got a pair of Cloud 9 Spa slippers to wear. I thought that was kind of a tease for me since I couldn't use the spa but oh well. I never used them. I gave them to Laura at the end of our cruise

So once I got our pop, water, and wine put away. I decided to head down to Lido for some lunch before it got too busy. Anybody want to guess where I went for lunch??

 

If you said Guys Burgers you would be correct :p They were definitely as good as I remembered they were

 

I hope no one is hungry. A Guys Burger and my first Twilight Zone of the cruise. Does it get any better than this??? :)

So when we boarded the ship my friend Peggy was like the first person onboard and guess where she headed first......she went straight to the Red Frog Pub for her FREE BEER. She was the first person in the Red Frog Pub so John Heald had her picture posted....she was so excited to be first :)

 

After I ate lunch I decided to walk around a bit and do some exploring before the ship got too busy

Ocean Plaza on deck 5 midship. This is where they had trivia, music trivia with Matt (more funny stories coming up about that later), and nightly music with Deja Vu

Bonsai Sushi on deck 5 AFT. Tis place was always busy at night. I thought it was in an odd location though. I mean you're eating dinner and people are walking by along promenade :rolleyes:

The Red Frog Pub on deck 5 AFT. We spent a lot of time in here throughout the week

When I was out walking around it felt like I was the only one on the ship :D

 

Piano Bar 88 on Deck 5 AFT. We went to the Piano Bar one night and it was a lot of fun.

 

Limelight Lounge is where they had Karaoke and the Comedy Shows

 

Liquid Nightclub is on deck 5 AFT. We spent many nights....and then into the early morning hours in here :p

The fuel barge is filling us up to get ready for our 6 days in the Caribbean

 

Anyone who remembers my review from the Carnival Dream in December will remember Bessie. Bessie is my chicken hat. It was a gift given to me on our last cruise by a lady in our Krewe. She goes on all trips....even went to Mardi Gras in New Orleans

What the heck happened to our sunny skies?? Well these dark clouds rolled in real quick and it started pouring so I headed back inside

 

I headed into Lido to see what they had for dessert. I tried the cake pops and the caramel cheesecake. They were both pretty good

 

Notice that thing in the water. That was a guy with one of those water jet packs. It was fun watching him fly over the water even if it was for only a few seconds. You could tell that he was still practicing with it

As I was sitting there eating my dessert this sea plane came in for a landing right next to the ship and then took off again. That was pretty cool

 

I got a few weird looks while wearing Bessie :p like why does this person have a chicken on her head.....hahahaha

 

So after my dessert I decided to head back to the cabin to see if my suitcase had got there yet
