Soda plan

So I was thinking of getting this for my daughter. My son isn't a huge soda drinker, but was wondering if my daughter gets soda, will it be ok if I bring another cup to fill it into? Can my daughter refill as many times as she wants? Do they supply her with a cup? Also, can I be the one to go get the soda or does she have to?

Thanks!

We paid for a soda package only for our son because we aren't soda drinkers. He really isn't either but I wanted to make sure that he would have access to beverage at all times. He only ever ordered ginger ale and not one time did they run his card. Not sure if they thought he was sea sick.

You provided with a refillable cup when you sign up. Also, online purchase required the entire group to purchase the plan but onboard the first day, we were able to purchase the plan just for him.

Hope this helps.

From the way you wrote your message, it sounds like you may be picturing a self-service soda fountain like at a fast food restaurant, where anyone with the right kind of cup can go get refills. It is not like that, you have to order each soda from a server or at the bar and they get it for you. (Sorry if you already knew this, please disregard.)

They will give your daughter a reusable cup, but she doesn't have to use it.

The card has a sticker on the front, they don't actually run the card, they confirm the sticker. Otherwise they run the card to charge you for the drink.

Sounds like you plan for the family to share a soda package, that isn't the NCL program. Either purchase plans for everyone that will use the feature or pay as you go for those drinking without a plan.

It only takes about three sodas a day to cover the plan costs.

When you have the plan a sticker is added to the front of the card. The card must be presented each time you order a drink. It is really up to the server whether to let you grab a drink using your daughter's card. You may heave no issue 100% of the time or a bartender may refuse since it isn't your card.

Hmmmmm - I also pictured self serve. Where will my kids go if they want a soda during the day? A bar? The buffet?
It's pretty much the same for sodas as for adult drinks: ask a server (if you're in a dining venue, or around the pool) or go to a bar. Most of the bars are kid-friendly (casino bar, cigar lounge, not so much :p).

If we purchase when we board does everyone in the cabin have to buy it or is that just for advanced purchases?

Once on board you can purchase individual soda packages. I always get one only for me since my husband does not drink soda.
