MNCruizer1 Posted April 5, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2015 (edited) I know it has to be the same category..but does it have to be the exact same level as well? Our level is sold out...so trying to make sure. We booked early saver Thank you Edited April 5, 2015 by MNCruizer1
ready2cruzagain Posted April 5, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2015 (edited) If it is on a different deck then it would not be the same category. Edited April 5, 2015 by ready2cruzagain
rbis_steve Posted April 5, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2015 If it is on a different deck then it would not be the same category. Not necessarily true. A 4E can be midships on deck 6 on a Conquest-type ship and forward/aft on deck 7.
dioxide45 Posted April 5, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 5, 2015 If the higher category is the same price or lower, can you not get a free upgrade?
BigRed93 Posted April 5, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 5, 2015 Needs to be the same category, but not necessarily the same deck. You can ask for an upgrade if the same price or less, but have a cabin picked out when you call so you can make a specific request. It's easier and takes less time that way. jamscckmc Posted April 5, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 5, 2015 I booked an inside cabin with a free upgrade to a 4K under ES. My PVP said even if the 4K sells out I can still get the sale price on an inside because that's what I paid for.

At least that was what I was told by Carnival. Also, you could not get the price match of a lower category than a 4k...that makes no sense. Here is a link to a good discussion on it here on CC: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2126547 . He said if the form said no..that was it. Kept saying there must be none of my category available. I am fine with no price drops..I booked the price but just want to make sure if they are available..I understand them. Thank you
