jenniferop Posted April 9, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2015 Hello - DH and I will be in port on May 27th from 1pm-11pm on the Carnival Conquest and I am putting some of his Marriott reward points to good use by booking us a "night" at the hotel so we can use the facilities and have a place to hang our hat for the day while in port. It will be nice to have a room to go back to and a place to keep our stuff while in port for the day. My question is how far is the hotel from the port? can we walk? any thoughts are helpful on what to do around the hotel after the sun oes down and we come in off the beach. Isa65 Posted April 21, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2015 In my opinion, it's a waste of your reward points. The Renaissance is RIGHT where the ship docks, literally 5 minutes walk. So you can hang your hat for free in your cabin on the ship.;)

Isa65 Posted April 30, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 30, 2015 Right in the cruise village there are plenty of restaurants and bars that stay open until the ship departs. They should be fine there.
PollyNJ Posted May 24, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 24, 2015 Isa- Do you know if you can walk to the Marriott and use their beach ? Someone mentioned in another thread that is what they were going to do, but they made no mention of a day pass. TIA
trixiegal Posted May 27, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 27, 2015 I also want to know if they'll let you check into a room early in order to just use the facilities for the day? On their website it says check in is at 4 pm and that is when the ship departs.
MADflyer Posted November 18, 2015 #8 Share Posted November 18, 2015 I visited the property on my Liberty of the Seas repositioning cruise and was very pleased with the pool area. They only have a 'space available' day pass of $36, which I found quite a good deal. They would not book it in advance. Day rooms cost the same price as overnight stays at this property. The infinity fresh and sea water pools and elevated sand 'beach' was fantastic. Beach massage station was busy the entire 3 hours I was there and the facilities were clean and modern. I had an amazing view of the ship the entire time. I also went to the Casino for an hour prior to departure and would have liked to have had a little more time at this port. I had been in Curacao for 2 weeks several years ago when they started building this property and this has really been a game changer as I was happy to leave back then. A very nice property.
