Galveston - After Cruise

We have late flights out of Hobby airport after our cruise. We usually do a Carnival excursion, but they do not offer anything. Does anyone have any suggestions? We will not have a car and there will be at least 8 of us.

There is a lot to do around the port within walking distance from terminals. And much more with a cab.

These are available to walk to except WWII submarine and destroyer.

The tall ship Elissa is right there next to the cruise port. Nice restaurants down there too

I recommend the Strand and Post Office , good shopping and many nice restaurants.
