SAC112750 Posted April 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2015 Hello, I am going on my 1st cruise in 2017!!! We are looking at the Western Caribbean. We are 3 mature female adults. I need help choosing which islands to pick. Anyone out there with cruise experience that can recommend islands for our age set? Not looking for parties, drinking or wild behavior. Would like to do a beach one day, maybe a dolphin experience, botanical gardens or historical area. And of course, souvenir shopping! Thank you! cb at sea Posted April 14, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2015 Ah...get a guidebook, read up on the Caribbean, and THEN choose where you want to go! While most of the islands are similar, there are some subtle differences. All will have beaches, most have a dolphin thing, and shopping will depend on what you want to buy! Do a bit of research so you can get what YOU want out of your vacation!

DRS/NC Posted April 14, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 14, 2015 I think that there's an unwritten rule somewhere in cruise lore: on your first cruise, you MUST visit St. Thomas! Great beaches & LOTS of shopping (if wanted - I don't). Have fun!!! :)
