Carnival_Brides Posted October 9, 2015 #51 Share Posted October 9, 2015 (edited) I received any cruise up to 15 nights free, OV for two, not necessarily a jouney. But now thinking about it, the longest ive ever received before was 14 nights, ( twice, used one for Alaska and one for Hawaii) other than that they are usually 8 nights that are free. I believe they extended it to the 15 so people could take a journey and get a feel for them ( maybe?) otherwise, why the change. also, always, always, i have had to book within two months from getting the offer, this time they allowed six months to cruise. im thinking they are really wanting people to try the journeys, dont know, but strange the change all of a sudden. I haven't heard of the random free cruise offers in a while--was yours a casino offer? Edited October 9, 2015 by Carnival_Brides
Crusin Karen Posted October 9, 2015 #52 Share Posted October 9, 2015 I can understand the frustration when you pay full price for a cruise that others are going on for free. We have NEVER gotten an offer for a free cruise. We do get casino offers that are reduced WAY down and like the other poster said, you have to book within a certain amount of time and it's only limited sailings which we usually can't or don't want to take. We booked this Pride cruise because it was such a good deal. Then again, you add in the port fees and taxes, plus the gratuities which we pre pay, and travel insurance (ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS buy it!) and it really adds up. Doesn't even include expenses on the ship. A gripe with me is that we are always offered INTERIOR cabins. I see someone was offered an OV. We sailed in an interior on our 2nd Liberty B2B for the lst time and we HATED it. I mean...we were climbing the walls! We still booked this great deal for Pride Journeys, inside, but I am getting kind of nervous. But I am thankful we got this great deal or we wouldn't be cruising next year. Crusin Karen Posted October 9, 2015 #53 Share Posted October 9, 2015 Yes, we found out yesterday it was a casino offer (not a free cruise-reduced fare for interior) Another couple wanted to go also so we tried to book another reduced fare cabin with DH in one cabin with one of them and me in another cabin with the 2nd person, but found out that DH got this offer thru casino and I didn't, so discount didn't apply to me. :( I play slots in the casino but use DH'es S&S card. Lesson learned, use my own from now on!!! We also got $100 OBC, not the $150 some people are being offered. But again, not complaining...
