alocsin Posted April 26, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2015 I know that the gym or fitness center on Oasis of the Seas now has kettlebells but what are the weights? Are there: barbells (what weight bars and plates?) I've seen some sort of barbell rack in pictures but the bar doesn't look detachable. medicine balls (what weights) jump boxes (what heights) pull-up bars dip rings Hoping to continue my Crossfit WODs on the ship. Thanks in advance.
rstout Posted April 26, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2015 (edited) We were on the Liberty this month. I don't remember what exactly what was on the Allure two years ago when we went (and weren't doing CrossFit then). But on the Liberty, no to the box and I don't remember medicine balls, and definitely no rings. The barbell did not detach. I didn't like it and wound up making do with Dumbbells. Pull-up bar only on some of the weightlifting equipment and it moved a lot. They did have a rower. My husband brought his own jump rope and did some of the WODS with double unders, rowing, sit-ups, etc. (e.g. Jackie and Annie). racerxspeedy Posted April 27, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 27, 2015 Hello - pic of weight area attached 1) There are racks of barbell sets ranging from super light (2 lb) to very heavy (100lb). 2) I believe I saw med balls, but can't tell you what weight range 3) Not available 4) Cable machine has pull up bar with multiple grips, Also have pull up assist machine. 5) No dip rings, but they have dip station You may not be able to follow your exact routine, but vacation is the perfect time to "mix it up". They have some very nice machines If you work hard before the cruise you could actually benefit from some "recovery" time. Oasis also has the best running track at sea - Can't beat the view Enjoy your cruise

alocsin Posted July 30, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted July 30, 2015 Take your out of form olympic lifts else where!!! Talk about a non-sequitur. I do take Olympic lifting classes and at my Crossfit, at least, they emphasize form over weight and speed.
